Lol, that's like saying Chrysler is a good company because their primary motive is profit rather than a safe, reliable car. Nothing wrong with a company wanting to make money, but that's not exactly what you want to hear as the customer. He still should have known better. A Brand/Davis tandem cannot overcome the Clippers' suckiness. They should have teamed up in Golden State.
One other thing, if a player is playing poorly, he deserves to be called out for it. This school of thought about not hating on people publicly, even if they are playing like crap, is for kids. If you're making millions to play basketball and you're sucking terribly, then you deserve to be called out. Period. The end. People need to quit sticking up for these scrubs.
He's the boss? We're the customers. He's paying the players millions but we're paying him millions. I think that makes us the boss. But, that's the irony of the whole thing. Everything the Clippers touch turns to lead. Is it bad luck? No, of course not. It's because they are bad at scouting players, choosing players, training players, managing players, and motivating players. They turn things to lead because Sterling is a terrible owner who is not willing to do anything to get better at any of those endeavors. If Baron Davis played for the Mavs, he'd be a heck of a lot more productive than he is now. Sterling is the reason that Baron Davis sucks. And, he wants to put the blame on Davis, as if he or any player could lift the collective weight of the team and management and ownership on his back. Sterling indicts himself.
Wow, JV is having it with Sterling. I totally agree. While Davis has no excuse for not working hard, Sterling deserves to be called out a lot more than his players.
When I'm not prepared at work, my boss calls me out on it. It shouldn't be different from these NBA players frankly.
Quick question. Does your boss heckle you while you're working in front of your co-workers much less an audience of 10-15,000 people watching you work?
