Baron is from LA, and he loves it there. He enjoys schmoozing with the actors and whatnot, chatting it up with Adam Sandler, Jessica Alba and the like. Dude is into the movie biz and has a SAG card. Sign-and-trade with one of the LA teams seems like it may be in order. The Warriors don't want to lose Baron for no talent in return, and Baron would be able to go where he wants and get more money and a longer contract. I hear the Clippers more often, but I wouldn't put it past the Lakers to trade Odom and some pieces to get Baron, and perhaps Pietrus or Barnes to play the three. They would have to be re-signed too, but given Odom's performance, I could see The Lakers giving one of the GS swingmen a chance to split time at the three with Radmanovic.
I could care less about BD unless he ends up with the Lakers or SA, he alone won`t be able to take a team past the 2nd round, but with him kobe and gasol, we have a problem.
if baron signs with Clips... and brand stays... that's scary good team on paper. Baron Gordon Thornton Brand Kaman SnT Maggette to someone for a bench player or 2?
he's been in the league so long it seems you don't realize he won't be thirty till next spring. just based on age and the fact that he had his first full 82 game season since his third, he probably will get a big contract. man these guys make a lot of money. Golden State can build a whole new team right now.
Since when do the Clippers make big splashes in the free agent market? Isn't their owner known as a tightwad?
Maybe he will have the same contract fate that Bonzi did a couple of years ago and we can end up get him with the MLE. Yeh, that's the ticket...
