Barkley surprised me, but I knew he would probably still win a sprint cause even though bavetta can run 5 miles a day, we don't know what pace he's running at.
I'll sum it up until it's posted: Bavetta took the race seriously and was seen exercising in his dressing room. Barkley closed his dressing room to the "media." The race was 3.5 court lengths. Bavetta and Barkley wished each other luck. Bavetta had a difficult time taking off his warmup pants...a bad omen. Barkley false started twice. Once the race began, Barkley led the whole way. On the half court to the finish, Barkley turned around and ran backwards and fell flat on his ass over the line. Bavetta tried to catch up and slid head first (if not face planted on hardwood first). During the post race interview, Bavetta had a gash on knee and the blood was dripping down. Bavetta and Barkley hugged and kissed each other on the lips. Barkley was out of breath. Bavetta wanted a rematch and said 67 vs. 44. $50,000 was raised for charity. The end.

Thanks Smokey, luffy and RC Cola . Can say what you want about Barkley, but he sure is entertaining (and fat ).
bavetta was pacing himself for his normal 5mile run....... surely if he refs he can get up the floor quicker..... the fix was clearly in
just goes to show you... he is too old and slow to keep up with an NBA game. I mean hell.. he's blown it numerous times against the Rockets.. How old is too old? seriously.. If he can't keep up with Chuck... meh.
i must have watched that kiss in slow motion in Tivo a billion times, you can see the moment that barkley realizes what is happening and he has a 67 year old face right in his mug.
John Amechi: Oh Yes! Dick, why didn't you give me calls when I played? Tim Hardaway: Damn you Charles. Traitor!
Come on! Bavetta mailed that one in. I'm thinking Chuck found out how many people thought he would lose, found some suckers to place some bets on it, then paid Bavetta to tank it...
