the funny part is the people who 'hate Charles' are the ones who watch him constantly. Think about it. Do the Rocket's fans watch the halftime show of the Golden State/ Bulls game? Why? the Rockets game is OVER, they could watch the GS game and go take a dump during halftime or watch an episode of Lost or something. but they are watching the halftime show, SPECIFICALLY TO SEE CHARLES AND KENNY.
I always watch the half-time show of nationally televised games. Whether it's ESPN or TNT. Charles says some pretty outlandish things sometimes, but I find him more comedy than anything else. Oh, and Charles most certainly does not own me.

you are assuming that the people who hate charles were true Rocket fans back in the day and knew this. For all the Yao and Tmac loving, they still haven't accomplished what the fat charles barkley did for us, take us to the WCF. I'm not giving Yao or Tmac the benefit of the doubt, they are POPULAR, but they haven't accomplished anything yet.

Any real Rocket fan would. I'm a fan of all Rockets, not just ones that were in jail or quit on the team. Or ones that were here for three seasons and didn't know when to switch on a screen. I love them all. From Calvin to Carl. And if someone outside of the family (and Charles certainly is that, no matter if he used to suit up for them), can't ever give them credit and constantly criticizes them, well, I'm going to stand up for the guys in Red. Because I'm a 2007-2008 Rockets fan first and foremost. He's still pissed about 1994 and 1995. If he can't give the Rockets any kind of credit after going 14-3 in their last 17 games, then he never will.
I guess Dream or Drexler had nothing to do with that 1997 season? If Barkley's fat ass could've switched on a screen a little faster, he may have taken us to the Finals. Yao and TMac are Rockets now. Regardless of their flaws (which Yao doesn't have a lot of), we should support them when they are constantly criticized by those in the media. Quit living in the past. Especially the past that produced no championships.
Every time he gives the Rockets credit, it seems the Rox choke and make him and everyone that supported them look bad. It has been like that ever since we landed Tracy. The Rockets do not deserve any respect, so they won't get it. BTW, He gave Yao all kinds of props.......
True. But we were able to get past the Jazz without him and then couldn't when he was on our team. Of course, the second time is because the entire team quit after he tore his elbow.
If we would have had anyone other than Matt maloney at PG that year....... T'would have been a different story.
I don't see why you or anyone else for that matter should give one rat's ass about what he says or doesn't say about the Rockets. It's not as if what comes out of his mouth constitutes the final authority on anything. I also say that anyone who would let what he said last night tee them off to the point of starting a thread like this seriously needs to go get themselves a life.
Seriously? Do you really think the thread starter or anyone who agrees with him needs to get a life? I could take it a step further. Anyone who ever gets upset about sports at all should get a life. I mean, in the grand scheme of things, sports isn't really all that important. So why should there be a message board on the internet where people can whine about how their team is doing? GET A LIFE!!! In the context of basketball and people being paid to offer commentary about it, of course people are going to be upset if they consider someone to be biased against their team. It's human nature when it comes to sports. Why even have commentators if we're not allowed to disagree with them?
That was Drexler's fault! he's the one assigned to Stockton not Charles. I'm not living in the past, I saw both games. Both Charles and Kenny agree that Duhon deserved player of the day. its not my fault the newbs get a hissy fit if people aren't kissing the Rockets butt every 5 seconds. Look at last year, the tampons were flying off the shelves when the Rockets were not rated as championship contenders. if these people hate chuck saying stuff , why the hell do they keep watching him?
It's really only a vocal minority that go crazy whenever anyone points out that the Rockets aren't exactly championship material. Check out the "Pretender or Contender" poll or the one for the overall grade for the season. Yao had a pretty average night. Duhon came off the bench and scored 30+ points when three of the Bulls' starters were injured and keyed a win off of GS.
your all wrong. Tyrus Thomas was the player of the night. If you actually watched the game last night Tyrus Thomas made the big plays that held off the Warriors comeback. His block shots, free throws , and clutch shots at the end was the difference maker.
Drexler was illegally picked by Barkley's man. Barkley was too late switching (like he is supposed to) and helped cost us a chance to go back to Utah tied 3-3.
