I love how he gets under so many peoples skin. I agree/disagree with his opinions, but I love him for always being real and saying what he feels.... That is a rare trait these days.........
I don't usually buy into the media hate of the rockets...Every team will have its critics at different points. The Rockets probably have a few more because of our two high-profile players. That said, Charles Barkley must HATE the Rockets. It can be nothing short of hate. Every opportunity he has, he spews some anti-Rocket drivel. Kenny is pretty objective about the Rockets...gives us our props when we deserve it, but I have rarely heard Charles say a positive thing about the Rockets. When he does say something good about the team, it is usually some back-handed compliment.
I love Barkley. And until we actually make some noise in the playoffs, he's right to be critical of this team. We haven't done JACK in over a decade folks. What do you want him to say? "IMMA PUT THEM IN MY FAAVE FIIVVE!"?
I love Barkley. He is by far the best in studio analyst on TV. He makes some damn good points and isnt afraid to say what he thinks. He makes his points with good humor and the non basket ball things he says are pretty funny also. Just because he gives some constructive crticism on the Rockets, doesn't mean he sucks. What the hell do you people want from him? It would make for a very boring telecast, if everyone liked every team in the league. Barkley is a genius and he should be put in the MNF booth. The more Barkley the better!
Barkley is funny and entertaining. His basketball comments aren't usually right, and he makes judgment calls that are usually quickly smacked down by Ernie Johnson a second later when he points out contradicting stats. Barkley parrots most of what Kenny Smith says anyways.
He used to make me laugh a lot more. Now he just sits there and says a few negative things now and again but doesn't really elaborate like he used to. His answer to everything: "That team is turrable. SA and Utah are the two best teams in the West, Kennay."
BTW Barkley disses every team except the Spurs. Suns fans hate him too. And so do Mavs fans. and so on. We're not the only one he disses.
you can tell from his comments that he doesn't watch much basketball..he watches a few games here and there but he doesn't have much knowledge of the game....he kept saying last night that SA and UTah are the 2 best teams in teh west....he never mentioned New Orleans or Dallas....WTF??!!.... how does Utah all of a suddent become one of the top 2 teams in the west?
He said the Rockets needed to make a trade for a PG because we can't win with the team we have right now. He is right.
lol, CB34 really does own Clutchfans with an option to buy Sugar Land. Seriously though, every week that CB34 mumbles the Rockets name, you can expect a 3+ page thread. It's amazing the reaction he causes.
