Look, Barkley is a front-runner. He was a top 50 all-time player. He has little to no respect for any team that gets by on both hard work and talent. To him, it's all about talent, just like the Phoenix teams he played on. He'll pick the obvious choice every-single-time because it's the safe bet. He has no room in his crystal ball for a 2008 New York Giants or a 1995 Houston Rockets (heh). Everything is about the favorite, the best player, the so-called Most Talented Teams. He has little to no regard for team chemistry, even though this is a proven formula for success. It's all about the stars for him. This formula, while it can be frequently successful, is not always right. Some take the risk and pick the underdog. Barkley will never do this. Even in his playing days, he let talent bury hard work, which is why he never won a championship. His opinions have no value because they are based purely on numbers. Most 8-year old kids could provide the same insight into the NBA that Barkley does and hit the nail on the head. Barkley just has a way with the English language that makes us laugh and hides the utter lack of depth in his thinking.
