isn't every season long? bball season takes up october through april without the playoffs.

this is gonna be a fun season. unlike most, i had a lot of fun watching the portland game. we're going to be all right. as long as we get the player roles and kinks out of the way, we'll hang tough until tracy returns.

the comedy is that i'm not expecting too much, so it's a less stressful watching experience. it is more fun.

remember last season when our BIG THREE went into LA and got destroyed? that was frustrating. tonight's game was not.

People still freaking out about Barkley, it's people laughing at the same joke every year, you wonder why but it always happens.

It will be a sad day if Charles leaves TNT.

yup, the lowered expectations definitely makes it more fun to watch the game. (and yes, last year's debacle in LA was embarrassing and frustrating).

it's barkley. he does that on purpose. he's the reason the TNT post game show is so highly rated. he says things to strike a nerve with the viewers. and that's why people keep getting annoyed with barkley. but despite all the whining (and i've done some), barkley is the reason we all watch the show. his ridiculous claims are often balanced with his great humor.

As Tmac said up top, Charles attracts viewers.

That said, we looked pretty damn awful tonight...

Honestly when Tmac comes back and he plays in that form.

Look at Agent 0...he went through the same thing Tmac did.

This team is a playoff team if things fall in place.

Ariza is Better for this team than Artest was. He just has to slip into his role better, no doubt that he'll be better for us than Artest though.

So we have faith in Tmac, especially after seeing Arenas for one game...it's clear that whatever Grover does works.

You're right. You're kinda laid back. You just care less and you just enjoy the game.

It is frustrating once the game is over, though.

Actually he had 3 surgeries on 1 knee. Tracy had one surgery on the knee and one on the shoulder. So the % of comming back should be higher for McGrady.

    They never do...

I didn't like Artest (ok, at first I loved him) but I am not sure if Ariza will be all that better.

Too many turnovers and poor shots for this team. Rebounding is killing us too!! If this continues we will be at the bottom of the West. As good as they were together, please don't think that we can play Brooks and Lowry all the time in the backcourt. In spurts yes but not full quarters. Please keep in mind that Portland rested a lot of its players.

Neither Brooks nor Ariza is the answer as our go-to-guy until they show some consistency THIS season. Only time will tell...

And the officiating needs to improve because both teams were victims.

This will be the major problem for the whole season.

Yeah, I just mean Arenas and Tmac both having bad history with injuries. So it's good to see Arenas come back and dominate like he did.

Well no team is going to have the perfect season. Someone is going to get hurt for every team and it's going to be a key role player. I mean if things just go well enough. Things not falling correctly would be Brooks then Scola out for the season.

I am confident Ariza will be better for us than Artest. He's going to fit in once he settles down. He may not be the better scorer...but when we relied on Ron for scoring...it didn't turn out well most of the time.

We will see, but I think Tmac comes back strong...Charles will be singing a different tune by all-star break.

Lmao, you know that what Chuck says, the reverse will happen. I've been askign this for a long time now: How did Barkley get a job at TNT? The guy is a horrible analyst, studders and gets off topic when he's discussing something, and doesn't know jack ***** about basketball.

Good part is while he hates we either get stronger in our players developments or stronger draft position for next year when we have Yao back also and Tmac situation resolved. We really could be like the Spurs when they got Duncan.

The one time I hope Barkley is right. It's our chance to get a higher draft position, and draft some franchise players. It's worked for San Antonio, when Robinson got injured and they drafted Duncan. It's working for Portland, they got Brandon Roy and Oden.

Yao may never be able to play again, if he reinjures his foot. It's almost impossible for big man to never get injured. He'll break it at some point in the next 2-3 years.

McGrady's gimpy knees never hold up. When does he play, he isn't as effective because of pain.

It's time to draft a star player.

There's a lot to like about Charles Barkley, but as an analyst, my dog has him beat. On certain days, some of the rocks in my driveway do, as well.

    100% FALSE !!!

Tracy had microfracture surgery which is much worse than what Arenas had.

Come on Jeff, I know you love Tmac but at least deal in some form of reality.
