Webber: (Chicago) That's not the place to go. When Rose was healthy, they had a terrible offense. Everyone can play hard. Can you play with IQ? Can you play smart?

I'm going to Houston. Dwight Howard doesn't want to be number one. Second, I have Harden. Now I have 'Melo. I can keep Parsons, and trade Asik and Lin. Parsons will be 6th man. 'Melo is the best catch and shoot player in the league. You can't go to Miami with Dwyane Wade. I don't know the fit in the locker room.

Cowherd: Houston the most underrated city out there right now.

Webber: I think Houston is a wonderful place to play and a sleeper in this.

    Cowherd: They have talent.

You're going to say this without providing any reasons for it on a Houston Rockets fan site? That's called trolling.

Lets not go overboard. If the Rockets will be lucky to get Anthony. It is very possible we strike out on all of the star players.

    Riight.

    Howard/James/Parsons/Harden/Beverley can "get her done".

Yep. Last summer is was just Dwight. This summer it is Lebron, Melo, and Love with us being a possible suitor.

    Come on July 1st!

Harden/Howard > Wade/Bosh now and two years ago. Maybe not on talent but when you factor in fit its no question. Howard/Harden/ LBJ is about realistically good a triumvirate LBJ can hope for fit wise.

In order to even be in the running for either, we would need them to opt out of their current contracts. With Anthony, that looks like a done deal but that could always change at the last minute. With LBJ, we can only speculate. If he opts back in, all of our guessing about whether or not he wanted to come here would be for nothing.

Agreed. People are getting way too optimistic about this. I can already hear the keyboard mashing with new fire morey threads popping up when none of these guys CHOOSE to come here.

It's interesting to note that media people are saying that it should be Chicago, and basketball people are saying it should be Houston.

Fortunately for us, we're trying to recruit basketball people, not media people.

Fortunately we'll get a huge hint on the 23rd, when players choose to opt in or not. If LeBron and Bosh opts out but Wade opts in, then I think the Rockets get at least one of the top FAs. If all of Miami's big 3 opts out, I think Melo's going to Miami. If none of the big 3 opts out, then I think we're slightly behind Chicago for Melo.

Barkley is totally right for this one, hope that Melo is following this show. On the other hand, former rockets player Jon Barry just completely removed the rockets from the Melo case on this show. This guy is either becoming stupid or hating the rockets for some reasons. His TV analysis on ESPN is becoming a joke too last year.

    Exactly.

We are talking about human beings (Anthony/James/Love) with different ideas and preferences, and worse yet the Rockets cannot even speak to any of the players at this point. Everything is speculation.

For all we know, Anthony stays in NYC, James stays in Miami and Love is dealt at the deadline.

Bottomline is that the Rockets team will be better next season... I'm predicting top 3 in West. I don't know which MLE we go after or how we go about getting upgrades.. but our experience and ability to gel and grow from this year has to help.

The GARM has risen , we've been actually talking about true superstars instead of inconsistent bench players
