Charles Barkley isn't WRONG though? I like that he acknowledges the multiple all stars, stacked team that Curry has which hurts his chances. James Harden has done everything in his power to keep this team RIGHT where it should be even with a healthy Howard. People can argue that we are OVERACHIEVING even if we had a healthy starting line up all year because people didn't expect us to make the playoffs (stupid statement but it existed)

I will say that the Warriors have absolutely played out of their expectations this year but I think Curry's improvement hasn't been the biggest factor in their team's overachieving record. It has been the growth of Thompson as breaking into the realm of an elite shooting guard and Draymond Green's MASSIVE growth as a player.

Putting Golden State's winning on Curry is load of crap, he's basically the same guy he was last year. Klay isn't, neither is Barnes, neither is Green, and their coaching staff is better.

Sometimes though it comes down to the new "face" who plays with the team with the best record.

Steph is a veteran but this year is the first time he is a serious contender and the media loves doing crap like that - no real analysis, just "his team has the best record, he's a fresh face, and he's not Lebron James"
