And Rockets keep winning! If I'm his teammate, then go ahead, we'll take care of rebounding and defense, let him take all the shots. As long as we're winning, I don't care. Stupid Shaq! Oh, and Barkley was using analytics during halftime of GSW-CLE. IIRC, he said GSW was gonna win. And Warriors lost. LMFAO!
Not sure if my last post worked, for some reason it's not playing on my computer. Here it is again just incase it's not showing up for you either. <iframe src="https://vid.me/e/Udhd?autoplay=1&loop=1" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen scrolling="no"></iframe><div><a href="https://vid.me/Udhd?source=embed" style="font-size: 11pt; text-decoration: none;">Charles Barkley just said James Harden is the MVP!!!</a></div>
Barkley is a side show act. People get amusement out of his inability to filter his thoughts. I dont think anyone really takes his basketball analysis serious at all.
Thanks for the vid. Can somebody plz tapes shaq's mouth with duck tape ? Harden takes all the shots? is this bi$# aware of Harden's assist #s not to mention WB takes all the shots he can? 39 attempts tonight. Kobe says hello.
Harden takes all the shots yet per 100 possessions Harden - 24.6 FGA Curry - 25 FGA Westbrook - 31.1 FGA James - 26.7 FGA Davis - 25.2 FGA Yes, Harden shoots the most out of everyone on the Rockets, but that usually is expected from the leading scorer in the NBA. But if dude played the same amount of possessions as the other MVP candidates he would shoot the least out of all 5 and only trail Westbrook by 3.1 points. Man, Shaq's comments bothered me. I understand completely why he thinks Steph is the MVP and that's because he's the best player on the best team, but I hate when people try to discredit Harden's work and effort this season. I'm completely fine with someone else getting the MVP, but when someone tries to pretend what Harden is doing isn't deserving as much praise as others then it bothers me.
Fock shaq, barkley and kenny smith. Smith seems to be a douche these days, nothing like the old kenny. He has gone full Hollywood, other 2 malt ball headed idiots have 0 basketball IQ.
He praised an individual player, that doesn't change his clear bias against the ORGANIZATION as a whole.
So, in the same sequence he said Klay is the best 2-way guard. All those guys have big ego's and are very biased, VERY! Kenny is the most sensible, but none of them support their argument other than Barkley so that's at least something...
One thing with ex players opinions, they always basically track their own circumstances because they're all extremely egotistical. Why does Charles value a player whose team succeeds to an extreme level with injuries and scrubs? Why does Shaq think that you should get it for having the best record even if your team is stacked? Why does Kenny support a 3 point shooting point guard? lol
I lol'd when Shaq said "Because he takes all of the shots" isn't your best player supposed to take the most shots? It's not like Harden is just jacking shots either, he's shooting a respectable 45% from the field. He's not ball hogging either because he averages close to 7 assists. I'm tired of Shaq/Barkley spewing nonsense but thats expected at this point.
A month ago, I had Curry in the lead, largely thanks to his team being on pace to win 70 games. Since they've managed to lose to the Pacers & the Jazz, plus not look all that impressive against some much weaker teams. I now have to give the edge to Harden, who I think has been a little better individually, and is more important to this team. With Bev & Ariza having poor years and Howard unhealthy, Harden has carried this team on his back most of the season.
I think it's Harden because he makes teams adjust their entire defense just to stop him, and 9 times out of 10, he still makes them pay. Plus he's a top 10 defender this year as well. Don't know that the same for either could be said about Curry.
Shaq's comments are completely idiotic. Especially when this happened on a night where WB took 38 shots by himself, and still lost to the Suns. Hardent isn't even taking that many shots, compared to his point production and every othe candidate. He should actually take more shots since there is no one on the Rockets who can score at a proficient rate, Howard included.
Shaq won the MVP in 1999-2000. That year he averaged 21.1 field goal attempts per game and 10.4 free throw attempts per game. This year Shaq says Harden isn't an MVP because he takes all the shots. Harden this year is averaging 18.1 field goal attempts per game and 9.5 free throw attempts per game. I guess I must have missed it when Shaq turned in his MVP trophy because he felt like he didn't deserve it due to taking too many shots. What a saint.
I am not arguing, but curious. Does FGA add in times he shoots and gets fouled? Because if it does not, he probably shoots more than Curry, Davis, and James. Which is not a knock, he is an extremely ungreedy superstar.
Shaq's comment makes no sense. Here are the usage rankings for those guys: Westbrook 37.6 #1 by a mile Lebron 33.1 #5 Harden 31.0 #8 Curry 28.8 #12
Honestly after that analytics debacle I can't watch that group anymore. It's 3 guys in clown suits and Ernie. It was kind of like when Cuban came on w Skip and roasted him so bad that I didn't even see him as an analyst anymore.
The reason why Curry and Thompson rarily do any moves is because they don't have to. They shoot so well... give them even a little room and it's swish..
