I can't believe this didn't have it's own thread when I got on here. This is one of the best ankle breakers you will ever see! He sent him tumbling in two different directions!

Far from the best cross over / ankle breaker, he indeed slipped and when he turned he immediately had to change his footing which lead to his 'ankle breaking'.

So having to change his position quickly to accommodate the offensive player caused him to lose his balance. Hence, he got his ankles broke son.

Barbosa's cross is a legit ankle break, no off hand pushing. Reminiscent of Iverson, but he did it against another guard.

yep, big difference is Iverson would often take it to the hole. Guys nowadays mostly do crossovers to step back and shoot a jumper.

Man, back in the day Iverson was beastly. Now he is just old and broken down.

it's funny cause it seems like almost 100% of the time, when players pull off ankle breakers they ALWAYS nail the shot (given its a wide open shot and they're NBA players but still..)

Funny how selective memory works -- to me it seems that the shot is missed most of the time.

I think the ankle breaker videos on youtube are the ones that are selective. they don't normally show the shot or layup/dunk unless the player makes it after the ankle breaker move. They usually just edit out the miss and show the next clip.

Actually, what i've said in the past is that the dribbler tripped the defender or there was enough physical contact to make the defender slip. Obviously Nocioni slips here, but it was on his own. No contact. No tripping.

    I approve

Yaaa the only ones that are even memorable is when he makes it...inversion had many, Stevie had many and missed often, MJ missed a couple, The ball breaker though mane, also there was a guy named Tim Hardaway he nailed the shot on most occasions...I can't upload or embed I should say bc on iPad...
If some1 wants to show where AI learned his cross over
