Just to let you know that it isn't just in your personal life, my Criminal Procedure textbook has a pretty extensive study that was conducted on sentences of blacks, white, blacks v. blacks, blacks v. whites, whites v. blacks, and whites v. whites. As you can assume, sentencing against blacks was higher, I believe with blacks v. whites being the highest. I'll see if I can find out where in the book the study is later if you are interested.
That would be cool but as MadMax said there are a lot more factors than just race when sentencing occurs but I still believe race plays a major part of sentencing second only to income status/wealth.
