although I hated what this person said..the thing that bothers me most about this b!+ch was that she listed a suicide hotline # as her personal phone # for people to call if they wanted to talk to her about her tweets. The last thing suicide prevention counselors need is angry people calling expecting to talk to this mental-case of a professor, therefore tying up a line meant for people in crisis. It shows she really has no concern for anyone but herself. For that alone she should be fired - but unfortunately it looks like she won't be held accountable at all because it looks like the University President is pretty much not going to do anything about it.
I agree, that was easily the worst part of the situation. Someone might have been on the edge of committing suicide, but couldn't get the help they needed because the hotline was backed up. Honestly be one of the most tragic things I would have ever seen if it had happened. I'm young though. Deserved imo. One can say whatever they want, but doesn't mean there are no consequences either.
I hope this thread doesn't devolve into discussing that crap. ^ The tributes around houston have been touching.
