i dont really want to rub it in to people i know. but i wrote a blog about about 3 years ago myself that said if he runs he would win ( IF he could beat hillary) i always said if he did that he would win the election easy. i remember waiting to hear if he would run in the first place. and then when the primaries were coming. and he won iowa. and so on and so on. its culminated to this night and i wish him the best and really hope he does well. politics can be fun in a way to follow and to bicker back and forth with friends or on this site. they always say that an election is important which i suppose they all are. but right now for this country i think we are really headed in the wrong direction. and if you really really boil it down for me the most important things that need to be fixed before its too late. is the money situation and the fact that we are borrowing so much money from other countries and going into debt. and also how much we are falling behind in schools, europe and asia are so much further behind in scores its sad. those are the things that effect our future. i hope obama can turn it around but im not sure, but i think he is our best hope. and i wish him the best. OBAMA 08' BABY
I met him in 2005 at the Astrohall during Katrina and told him to run for President. He gave me major props for volunteering. I just finished hallucinating. YES WE CAN!!!
Technically, no I was exaggerating back then.....and have probably exaggerated since... I didn't technically take a class from him. He was on faculty when I was there and taught classes, and I'd see him around, but I saw him speak in a few lectures at lunchtime for various things but I never took his class formally. I think he only offered one that I could have taken (he taught pretty infrequently when I was there) and it was offered only on Friday AM's....being very intelligent, I decide that getting up early on Fridays was not compatible with my lifestyle.........D'OH....
yeah how cool would that have been to say you took a class from a president. one of the few times you wouldnt feel like you were being ripped off from tuition
Why, this is bewlschiiiitttttt, SamFish... I kid, man. This is freakin' NOSTRADAMIC. Nice. Very, very nice, sir.
Yeah, I tell the chicks that and will continue to do so.....that was the reason for my qualifier, couldn't get my bullsh-t stories straight.
Thanks again for the great article again, Sam. Apparently you introduced me to Barack Obama. I forgot the article, but it is great to read it tonight.
Kudos, Sam. That thread deserves to be a D&D legend. Doesn't hurt that the column you posted was a great read.
Sam with the self aggradizing(sp?) thread bump... And I LOVE IT !! Nice call on the man....4 years ago..... You sir, deserve a fine bavarian brew. DD
In my senior year ('05), my Government teacher asked who we thought would run in 2008. I had fallen in love with Obama after the '04 convention, so naturally I mentioned his name. She said that she was very impressed by him, but that she didn't think he had a very good chance of winning. She even commented that she'd consider voting for him. That was huge to me because she made her party affiliation very clear during our class discussions. (She voted for Bush in '00 and '04.) I would love to have been in her class during the elections and definitely this morning.
never thought I would read/post in hangout -Debate & Discussion section to learn it, nice read... 《Dreams from My Father》, this is the 3rd times I heard it being mentioned recently, this article intrigues me to know more about Obama, gonna skim the book in lab as time fills in Dec.
wait, just find this article: <a href="http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=77815">Obama didn't write 'Dreams from My Father'</a> d-oh, 'Life is all "a lie" anyhow.'
Ayers, I thought you were pals with Obama? Are you getting the Weathermen together again now, on the whitehouse front lawn?
