I wonder if she could say that about anyone she voted for previously
    I wonder if she was ever asked/thought about it. . . .

yet it matters here. . .that Obama is colorless
Did Bush/Clinton/Bush/Reagan/etc have to be colorless?
Why is it they get an automatic by
    but
Obama has to be SPECIAL . . beyond race. . .etc

    It is all interesting

Well, frankly because Obama isn't good at anything else.

Without the media sploogefest he's received, he's in the looney bin with Dennis Kucinich and Carol Moseley Braun. Heck, after a few more debates like the last one, he may wind up there anyway.

Obama skewers US carmakers on gas guzzlers

    Published: Monday May 7, 2007

White House hopeful Barack Obama on Monday rebuked giant US auto makers over gas-guzzling cars, warning they had themselves to blame for current woes after racing to build bigger, faster vehicles.

The Democratic senator traveled to the industry heartland in Detroit to warn America could no longer sustain bloated energy consumption, unveiling a plan to encourage auto companies to build more fuel-efficient cars.

"The auto industry's refusal to act for a long time has left it mired in a predicament for which there is no easy way out," Obama said.

"But 'expensive to do' is no longer an excuse for failure to do," Obama said, becoming the latest presidential candidate to call for energy policy reform.

Oil dependency corrupts emerging democracies, jeopardized US security and harms the planet, said Obama, vying with Senator Hillary Clinton for top billing in the Democratic White House field.

"For the sake of our security, our economy, our jobs and our planet, the age of oil must end in our time."

Of course polls which pit him against any of the GOP candidates have him winning going away.

I thought Barack was smart? Seems brain dead to me. If he is already crumbling under the stress of a campaign, how can he lead our nation? The only solution?

    Obama Overstates Kansas Tornado Deaths

    May 8 11:30 PM US/Eastern
    By BOB LEWIS
    Associated Press Writer

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Barack Obama, caught up in the fervor of a campaign speech Tuesday, drastically overstated the Kansas tornadoes death toll, saying 10,000 had died.
    The death toll was 12.

"In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died—an entire town destroyed," the Democratic presidential candidate said in a speech to 500 people packed into a sweltering Richmond art studio for a fundraiser.

Obama mentioned the disaster in Greensburg, Kan., in saying he had been told by the office of Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius that the state's National Guard had been depleted by its commitment to the Iraq War.

"Turns out that the National Guard in Kansas only had 40 percent of its equipment and they are having to slow down the recovery process in Kansas," Obama said, his shirt sleeves rolled up and his head glistening with sweat.

As the Illinois senator concluded his remarks a few minutes later, he appeared to realize his gaffe.

"There are going to be times when I get tired," he said. "There are going to be times when I get weary. There are going to be times when I make mistakes."

Obama spokesman Bill Burton said later that the senator meant to say "at least 10," instead of 10,000.

During his speech, Obama stirred the crowd as he often does by skewering President Bush over the unpopular war and noting that he opposed it from the outset.

"How could we have been involved in a war that never should have been authorized, that has already cost us half a trillion dollars," Obama said.

It was Obama's third visit to Virginia's capital in eight months. It came as national polls show him trailing rival Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., by double digits.

Hmm if we use the fumbling of words to determine the strength of a possible president, I wonder where our current president stands?

Given TJ's propensity to swallow anything Bush says or does like the good little kool aide drinker that he is, I find it amusing that he is calling out Obama for misstatements or "fumbling" words.

When was the last time the Queen was in America?
