I was expecting TwoScoops to add that the book had too many words. I mean who reads more than 140 words at a time anymore?

Doesn't matter, once you oppose Trump, you're a dirty liberal - as Bannon will now be labeled. He wrote that book. As much as Trump wrote Art of the Deal.

Have to state for the record this has been debunked as a fake excerpt. McGinnes was one of the old Vice founders, but left before all the harassment stuff.

Well, if you guess that then that is on you, but it isn't based on anything that I've said.

People were upset about the corruption. The Chair of the DNC was fired, they cleaned house, and addressed the issue. It was addressed, publicized, and actions to correct it were actually taken.

That being said, I'm not sure why people act like that was all that the Russians did in their effort to subvert American democracy.

It's as if he is purposefully trying to force his cabinet to invoke the 25th amendment. Maybe he wants to leave with a 'dementia' claim so his utter incompetence can be deflected at an illness rather than just him being ****ing stupid.

The OP starts of the first post of the thread like this:

Unless I missed it, I did not see a post where you corrected the OP. I knew nothing of this story until I saw the thread and I assumed the OP knew what he/she was posting. I don't spend my time in an echo chamber like so many here.

Are you sure the cave you live in doesn't have an echo chamber?

I jumped the gun thinking this book was a joke. I think it is all true. Impeach.

I think you mean '25th amendment' instead impeach.

The book points to that direction signficantly more.

I’m deeply liberal, and oppose most of everything Mike Pence stands for but there isn’t a bone in my body that feels that we aren’t as a country safer, more stable, and overall better off with Pence taking over as president.

If this information is true (and even if exaggerated with liberties taken), it still coaberates many other reports saying the same thing. The big question I have is, what is going on with Trumps cabinet and the GOP leadership? If they know this is all true, why aren’t they putting country first and doing the right thing?

Because Trump will sign anything you put in front of him.

So will Pence. Actually Trump is more likely to sign something Democrats put on his desk like he did before and pissed off the GOP by giving up leverage.

There is no GOP piece of legislation that is too right wing for Pence to not sign. He’s maybe the most extreme right wing Republican but he’s at least going to run a stable government and not start a nuclear war.

My guess is it is either because Trump/Russia have leverage over GOP leadership (RNC hacks from last year) that he’s managed to blackmail them with, or they are deathly afraid of his so-called “base” and think voters will retaliate... which I don’t really understand.

The so-called Trump “base” it’s nothing compared to the traditional loyal Republican voters that will come home to the GOP nearly every time and only dumped the GOP recently because of Trump. They will get those voters back if they dump Trump so I’m not sure why they care about that this much IF that’s the case.

Trump/Russia RNC hacking blackmail sounds INSANE I have to admit, but it’s the only thing that makes sense at this point.

It's the Trump base. They can get primaried if they do not kowtow to the majority of GOP voters

The difference between the right wing and normal is demonstrated here. Normal people can admit when they are wrong. You'll never see that from a right-wing poster.
