    What's with all the best rapper alive stuff going on? It's very specific to rap. You never hear about best country artist alive or best High School Musical actor alive.

    Some of it is inherent in the genre itself -- the braggadocio of being the "best in the game", etc... Because the artists themselves compare each other, we seem to follow suit in a Biggie-vs-Pac, or Jigga-vs-Weezy way. Other forms of music? Not so much. You didn't hear George Strait calling out Waylon Jennings too often, or Zak Efron calling out, well, whomever... There are more adversarial, direct, competitions in rap -- whether it be reppin' a region, a city, or a record label. Not so much in other genres. I think that's one reason we're quick to compare.

    Don't know what's worse... the song, that guy's accent, the editing in the video, or the unnecessary close-ups. Or maybe that the whole video was green-screened. Wow.
