here's the deal..if people weren't upset it would mean they didn't care. that they're upset means they care. don't question people being a fan because they're critical of the team. i'm pissed off at a bunch of the decisions they've made....frustrated. but don't confuse that with me being a bandwagoner. the Rockets are the only team in the NBA I give a damn about....i've been rooting for them since I can remember.
Reggie Miller averaged less than 3 reb and assists per game for his entire career. Was he a 6th man too?
Being an all star doesn't mean you're Michael Jordan. A lot of players became all star despite being only marginally better. Amare Stoudemire has even worse defense than Scola and has been an all star for years.
Since when is getting pissed and frustrated jumping ship? Don't fans have a right to whine and b**** if they feel they aren't getting what they paid for?
Let's be honest here....I'll be pretty surprised if Kevin Martin is an all star this season. When I think of the guards in the Western Conference, it's very difficult for me to imagine him making that team, no matter how many magic formulas tell me he's the greatest to ever lace up. In all likelihood, the only real all star hope for this team is Luis Scola. I still can't believe so many drank the Kool Aid with this bunch.
It's amazing to me. We had guys like DD who were saying we were the deepest team in the league, etc. Deep doesn't mean anything when the players you have aren't much more than a couple of slightly better than average scorers and a bunch of serviceable role players. You would have thought Chase Budinger, Aaron Brooks, and Kevin Martin were James Worthy, Magic Johnson and Byron Scott respectively. I don't think we'll play at a 1-6 pace for the rest of the season, but I honestly can't say I'm too surprised to see how the first few weeks have turned out.
We are a deep team but I expected Adelman to be able to lead and pare down the rotation to 9....but instead, he has been captain tinkerer....and gummed up the works. Also, I was not counting on AB going out, and more Yao. Yep....WRONG I WAS !! DD
Again...I think our problems run just a little deeper than simply Adelman's substitution patterns... But we've been through this ad nauseum, so we'll just agree to disagree.
This team is like my fantasy football team. We have a good roster all the way down to the last spot on the bench, yet no one is incredible. There isn't any thick concentration of talent. This leads us to argue over who should start, Brooks or Lowry, just like I am arguing with myself between Blount and MSW.
How about this.... **** You. I don't waste my entire day on here trying to relive my glory days thinking i know everything about this team. Congratulations on being old though, i guess that's something positive from this whole thing. I'm proud of you for being a fan for so long. Forgive me for being born when i was... guess that makes you a bigger rockets fan right?
No, you spend your time farting rainbows and wanting everyone to love everyone and hold hands. If people didn't complain, Clutchfans would be the dumbest site ever. Its a message board. It wouldn't be popular if people couldn't blast their role models anonymously. I don't care how old you are, but you obviously don't have the maturity to realize how this **** works.
Oh really I don't know how it works? I simply said that it was getting old hearing people saying we suck and because a couple guys have a slow start we should start unloading. I don't agree with everything that's been done but you will never hear my say my team sucks even if they're the worst team. I love how some of you "contributing members" feel that you know everything and you can just bash on everyone else. I'm not mature enough to know how this **** works? "Farting rainbows" is really mature as well. Hop off your high horse and realize what was said. We do have a deep team thats dealing with injuries to very important pieces that are key to the success of the Rockets. We have people filling in that aren't even 100% themselves. Everyone that has bashed on me for calling out "bandwagon fans" aren't even the people that was directed towards. I said that i was tired of seeing the following... Rockets suck, I hope Yao has a career ending injury, trade the team, rebuild now. You just feel that you have to throw your 2 cents in because you think people care about your opinion.

This thread is proof that we're all taking each other down the stinker.... Remember back when we used to discuss basketball and what our team could do to improve? Nowadays we discuss only each other's opinions and which superstars to pine for. It's like the board has McGrady syndrome.
