U2 and R.E.M. each have 1 song that definitely counts ("Van Diemen's Land" and "Texarkana") and 1 that sorta does ("Numb" and "Superman"). I douby that's what ima's looking for, though.

Under the heading of "Look at me! I read Pitchfork! Aren't I cool?":

    Yo La Tengo
    Arcade Fire
    New Pornographers

[Disclaimer: I hate being the center of attention. I don't visit pitchforkmedia.com on a regular basis. I am not cool.]

Try the Quintessential Quintuplet... the New Kids on the Block. ALL FIVE WERE LEAD SINGERS, LEAD DANCERS, and plain old Lead Heart Warmers....

Intro... Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh
(Verse) Listen up everybody if you wanna take a chance
Just get on the floor and do the New Kids dance
DonÆt worry about nothing cause it wonÆt take long
WeÆre gonna put you in a trance with the funky song
    Cause you gotta be...
    (Chorus) HanginÆ tough
    Singing tough
    Singing tough
    Are you tough enough?
    HanginÆ tough
    Singing tough
    Singing tough
    WeÆre rough
    Oh Oh Oh Oh x2
(Verse) EverybodyÆs always talking about whoÆs on top

DonÆt cross our paths cause youÆre gonna get stopped
We ainÆt gonna give anybody any slack
And if you try to keep us up weÆre gonna come right back
    And you know it...
    (Chorus)
Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh x4
    (Music Break)
(Verse) Get loose everybody cause weÆre gonna do our thing
Cause you know it ainÆt over till the fat ladyt sings
    Check it out...
    (Music Break)

Well are you tough enough to the new kids dance? I didnt think so...

If you are referring to Mother which was sung by Andy, that shouldn't count. ;)

Mother should count. But there was also 'On Any Other Day'. I might have botched the title.

Klark Kent was basically the police but I think it was Andy singing. I sometimes listen to that as much as I do the Police.

You are correct. That was Stewie singing and Sting singing background. Nice catch!

BTW, Mother was just a horrible mistake. I still maintain that it shouldn't count. ;)

I understand. I think I was trying to be a rebel, back when it first came out. My rebellious stage had come early and I told all my preteen girl classmates that they were cool for liking the Police that Mother was my favorite song on that album.
