Every time I catch this show, it's in the middle of a marathon. I want to watch the whole thing from beginning to end so I'll know what's going on. I added it to my Netflix queue last night.
Looks like I will have to watch BoB again. It never gets old and I watch it about once a year. I'm really looking forward to this, especially since my grandfather was a marine in Okinawa. The Pacific theater is kind of the redheaded stepchild when it comes to epic WWII flicks. It seems that the European theater gets all the love. I suppose it's the more 'sexy' area of the war with the evil Nazis and romantic European locales. I agree that it will be hard to top BoB though. Absolutely the best WWII movie/miniseries of all time.
anyone here watched "when trumpets fade? if you loved BoB and Saving Private Ryan, you will love trumpets.
I was watching the movie "Wolf" with Jack Nicholson, Michelle Pfeiffer, and James Spader. David Schwimmer makes a brief appearance as a police officer trying to arrest Nicholson after he is transforming.
I also watched a rerun of the Wonder Years and Schwimmer was on there also. He was the boyfriend of Kevin's sister. David Schwimmer was the only part of BoB that I didn't like. He just wasn't believable to me because I can't get the Ross image out of my head.
This might have been a better place for it than the Richard Winters thread... Buck Compton passes away at 90.
i love when winters tells him not to gamble with the men, don't put himself in a position to take from them.
