People with seats on the first base side will learn to call it god. Have you ever sat on the first base side with the sun on you? It still better than the Ballpark @ Arlington. I quit going to games because of the heat. ------------------ T-Pooh and Quitten went up the hill, to make a bet on a Foreward. When it all came down, they were nowhere to be found. Now they should be drawn and quartered.
34 stories?? What if a tornado hit and knocked the thing over onto the ballpark? ------------------ "For there is nothing either good or bad, thinking makes it so." - William Shakespeare (1564-1616), Hamlet
The thing will actually make it harder to hit home runs. Before The Kingdome was imploded it was hard as hell to hit one out to left field at Safeco, but now that it has been demolished it has a better wind flow make it a bit easier to knock the ball out. I think the building would be great. It would help our pitching out a lot. This way we can also play a lot more day games with the building making a shadow. I'm all for it.
I don't believe the wind blows horizontaly accross the building most of the time. I've done alot of work for the company that built the roof and when I'm up on the high roof track there's always lots of wind south to north. On the lower track, the same, but much more minimal. I would bet that the high first base side tends to dampen most of the wind out left field. ------------------
