The sacramento kings had seven guys averrage 10 or more points during there prime years under adelman.
a win, yet tinman finds a way to whine about balanced scoring... tune in!!! for the next episode of... HOW LOW WILL TINMAN GO!!!
oh the contrary the STAT LOVERS are whining about it I don't see anybody "exploding" tune in next time for how newbs hate Rick Adelman's offense.
Actually the TMac fans are crying over it because they don't like to see TMac leading the team in assists per game. They're made because Yao is leading the team in points per game.
True, but they didnt have the big 3 I am all for balanced scoring mind you, but my perception of balance is more like our big three averaging around 20 each and another player playing great.
To balanced scoring! 36.4% FG! Everyone sucked equally! Hey-o! ...If this were a better team then the nutless Thunder (which is pretty much every team), you wouldn't be insulting the "newbs".
People equate this with leadership Notice the word 'winning' or 'defense' or 'team' is not in their vocabulary. I equate Ron Artest treating every player he plays on D as "Michael Jordan" what true leadership is about. Ron's statement reminds me of Hakeem mentioned in his speech in the HOF as his job as the center to "block every shot and grab every rebound"
The whole team could average 12ppg and I wouldn't care, but honestly, It makes me want to pull my hair out when T-mac and co shoot 35% night in and out. Missing jumper after jumper is not efficient. To be a championship team, we have to start winning pretty, not ugly like against Memphis and tonight.
tinman, i can see why you started this thread. but i do have a good reason to expect mcgrady to "explode" on tuesday in the celts game - if he's a man of his words. check this out: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/6090121.html
Uh huh. Well, if we shoot 36% in Boston. 36% in LA. Hell, 36% in Denver. Who leaves with a win? There's legit concerns. And there's no need for you to call out people for what is true.
To be a championship team, you have to win games when the jumpers and shots are not falling. Its hard to be consistent on offense, but on defense its up to you. If you treat Kevin Durant like Kevin Durant or if you treat every player as Michael Jordan. Ron Artest rules. Warier!
what if we shoot 48.1% like we did in Dallas? Its not about oh this stat or that stat, it's showing that you know how to win, how to finish in the forth quarter. Robert Horry didn't score a single point against the Spurs in Game 1 vs the Spurs in 1995 WCF.. He only hit the game winner. How do you like that stat? CHAMPIONS How do you like this stat? Rockets 3-0?
I like it a lot. But stop trying to beat around the bush. Houston's offense today and against Memphis was mediocre at best. If you're going to bull**** around and totally ignore that, then fine by me. But to call others out because of that is low. Nobody is more or less of a Rockets fan because they pay attention to the numbers.
