    Wowowo...this guy has the:

    wingspan of Mutombo (shotblocking)
standing reach of Yao (inside presence)
    vertical leap of Amare (athletism)

I suppose that is why some folks have so much hope for him.

ps. And he isn't slow up and down the court although he is somewhat awkward, as someone pointed out. At that height and with those long arms and legs it is hard not to look awkward.

After watching that game I can honestly say, for Malick's sake, he really should have stuck with soccer.

dharocks - I actually didn't know Ill-skillz was a member, thought it was a hip-hop phrase, only replied to your message for a definition. I hadn't read any of the other Badiane threads only that there was a lot of talk about the promise the guy shows, maybe - but Badiane needs to get an accelerated course in hoops techniques and fundamentals before he can help the Rox

That's very odd that he is so clumsy. Soccer players generally have good footwork. Is he clumsy when he's running or when he has the ball?

If you have ever watched Motumbo run he looks a bit awkward because of his long arms and long legs. He is not particularly clumsy IMO. Hakeem had a different physique (long waisted) which made him look less awkward.

I don't know. Akeem looked pretty damn funny trying to run the floor and dribble at the same time back in his early years. Less dribbling and more like slapping the ball. Pretty damn funny all the same.

The Rockets need to watch the Spurs and try and steal a few of their prospects out from under them because when it comes to scouting young talent they are light years ahead of the Rockets. I've heard that Head is not playing up to expectations either.

The Spurs make better personnel decisions take our trade with the Knicks last season where we unloaded Mo Taylor we get back Moochie and Vin Baker two guys who don't even play for the Rockets. They unload Rose and get Nazr Mohammed a guy who played big for them and helped them win another title.

As I mentioned, this data came from an undocumented source. Therefore, I will gladly defer to your version. Even at 32", using the other numbers would put his finger tips between 2.5 and 3.0 feet above the rim when he jumped. I don't think either Yao or Motumbo can get up that high, maybe Deke.

    I can imagine the conversation

Caroll Dawson: so uh Pop, I know you spend milliosn on your scouting department, how about kicking some of that investment to me and telling me who you guys are looking at and why you think he will be good

    Greg Poppovich: **** you CD

CD: Cmon dawg, why you gotta be like that? share the wealth, hook a brotha up!

    GP: Stop watching BET.

CD: Why you gotta be hating on me? Wanna do a trade? I'll give you Head for Ginobili

GP: alright but make it fast (unzips pants)

CD: WTF, I was talking about Luther...you been hanging around too many Europeans.

    GP: oh heh, sorry.

:) Another Head joke. If Luther can't play ball, I bet u he can fight, hearing all the head jokes growing up must have gotten him into a few scraps.
