    Just saw him on David Letterman last night talking about getting his Ph. D. . University of Houston didn't come up, though. Pretty cool news that he will be attending there.

    Mother of God. What's ever crazier is that pretty much every institution he's attended has been an elite school in the field that he studies there. I guess some people just operate on an entirely different playing field from the rest of us. Major props to him for not wasting his talent.

    Did you know Hadji Bakara, of indie rock super group Wolf Parade, left the band in 2008 to pursue an PhD in English at the University of Chicago. And also did you know that Dan Snaith, who is the frontman of Caribou, wrote his critically acclaimed debut album Andorra whilst simultaneously obtaining his PhD in Mathematics at Imperial College London. Great moments in indie rock stay in school history.
