I live in Missouri City and we've gotten very little rain at all. My office is near the airport so I'm staying at home a while.
listening to the local news this morning...they were saying that the low pressure system is headed southwest...so all this rain would make it's way through the city again later today. are they still saying that?? i'm away from a tv in my office, right now. and the web is always playing catch up on the local weather sites. the national weather sites don't give that kind of detail.
Nah...you don't know me. I just remember seeing in a past thread that you said you grew up in Deer Park. Surprisingly, not many people are familiar with the Pasadena/Deer Park area and I just kinda figured you knew how bad it gets over here when it floods just a little. 225 @ Richey was completely under water just 30 mins ago...
I had UH classes today (ochem exam). Im glad it got cancelled. It looked really bad looking in to the downtown area from 59, was able to turn around at hilcroft.
when I was growing up in Pasadena, we used to say " It floods when someone pees in the street" Spencer doent flood anymore since they increased it to 7 lanes...but it sure as hell still floods everywhere else there. Fortunately for me, Im in Baytown now, and it barely got up to our sidewalk during Allison...so its all good.
I'm in a third story apartment in The Woodlands. Good luck flooding me. I also work in The Woodlands. I didn't know that it was as bad as it was until I read this thread. I hardly watch TV anymore so I had no idea.
Oh yea! Red Bluff was always HORRIBLE....between DP and Seabrook? Try all the way from 225 to Seabrook on Red Bluff. All along the Beltway was always pretty bad also. I lived off of South Ave and Red Bluff till the early 80s...and that entire area from there going east to the beltway would always flood pretty badly.
