This is the way the Rockets should go, if this rumor is true.

I do not agree that we should include Ariza in the deal...

Taylor or Bud I would be okay with, or a player from overseas...

This is Ariza's year to finally be able to fit in the offense and play a long side Yao, we need to see if it can work, and I honestly believe Ariza will be better with Yao ad even Bosh or any other big man in the lineup..

Offensively hes better than CBUD and Defensively hes better. whats the problem? Randolph is a beast can play 3 positions. We need him plain and simple. Our defense was trash last year we had nobody to protect the paint. Envision having Yao, Randolph, 2nd year Jordan Hill, #6 Pick Cousins/Whiteside and hard working Scola. Lakers wouldnt be the biggest team in the West we Would be!! Thats exciting bc our perimeter play with Brooks and Kmart is developing great chemistry. Ariza should benefit from that size behind him defensively and offensively.

I think the Rockets should do this trade and then try to do the Phillie for #2 trade. C. Bud #14 and 2012 pick for Randolph and #6. Hill, Jeffries and #6 for Brand and #2. You get your back-up for Yao and Scola and you get #2(Evan Turner) who replaces Bud. ;)

I want bosh as much as the next man, but Anthony Randolph has the potential to be better than bosh especially defensively.

Ill do the deal in a heart beat. Randolph, Hill, + 6th overall pick is greater than Bosh IMO.

I like Bosh but I dont think he is as great as everyone on here is making him out to be. He is similar to Scola in that he can score and rebound better, but he doesnt do much on D.

If losing Budinger and two first round picks nets the Rockets Randolph and the #6 pick, it's a no brainer. The Rockets would still have assets to move up in this draft, or offer a nice package for Bosh. If nothing else transpired, the Rockets would have a couple of up and coming front line players in Randolph and Hill and a wing replacement like Al-Farouq Aminu, or Wesley Johnson. I like Budinger as much as the next guy, but I would make this deal in a heartbeat.

I was hoping to see [Confirmed] in the thread title by now. The fact that it's not there so many hours after the thread was created makes you wonder.

If you manage to tell DD and the people that agree with him, this then 100% of people would be in favor of this trade, this is Ariza´s year, he will make a step further defensively, and have better ball handling plus better FT, he doesn´t have to be great, but he will get better, people forget that Ariza is only 3 years older then CBud, and if you remember Ariza when he came to the league you would recognize that this guys is myles ahead of what he was, and continues to get better every single year steadily not making huge leaps then stopping.

But for some people Cbud>>> Ariza = Battier, when in fact, Ariza >>> Budinger > Battier, right now, you could argue if you prefer paying Ariza 7M or Budinger 1M, but can´t say Bud is better then Ariza

Then you say, okay, but Cbud is going to be better then Ariza, and we should start Budinger for the future, but then you defend that we should go to WIN NOW mode trying to benefit from Yao skill and last years of his career, what??? Or either you rebuild for the future, waiting for young guys to develop, or go for who is better now to help us win tomorrow the ring.

That is why some people say that AB, Cbud and Hill are untouchable, because they are the future, when our goal is to win tomorrow, just look at the C´s and you will understand what we are doing, they got old 8with those trades they made), but they got better, they wanted to win now, people don´t understand that teams built for the future almost never work, look at Portland, wow great future, great young team, young players start getting washed, injuries start to build in the team, and when you open your eyes, Roy is 26, and his prime is hitting right now, with Portland a big way of the ring contention

You will say look at the Thunder, I bet with y'all then when players have to resign, after the rookie year that almost everybody is still in, that players will start going somewhere else, because they what bigger markets/salaries, and they will start getting pissed when some season goes wrong, as Portland did

Don´t get me wrong, I would prefer us to give Taylor, but i doubt GSW will accept it

About the suppose demand that Randolph did about the resign with GSW, don´t forget, he is pissed because we doesn´t play big mins, he is making what everyone does, ohh you don´t play me??? THEN PAY ME

I have already posted in here, I am all over this (supposed trade), and I will say something that is probably going to be bashed, but for me, if Randolph was right now in Houston, I would start him over Scola and Hill, because for me, besides what he can be in the future, he is better right now than both of those guys, no disrespect for none

For those that question the "red flags" Randolph has and then you say that you don´t believe in this rumor you simply can´t say that, these supposed red flags of him are pure rumors, and those y'all believe.

And if you ask me Nelson has worst red flags then Randolph, that dude is just sick

    Yao
    Randolph
    Ariza
    Martin
AB (It has to be, we don´t have better)

This 5 guys would make a pretty sick team, at least in my mind

Quoted for truth. I've liked Randolph for years. It may depend on who we're shooting for at #6 and who's still available. Bud is good but really nothing special. He gets a lot of hype because he was picked in the second round.

Well, regardless of your stance on Randolph this proposal is essentially a no-brainer from our end. #6 pick + Randolph for the #14 pick, 2012 Knicks pick + sweeteners is an absolute steal to move up eight spots in the draft. And that's placing aside the fact that we would also be acquiring Randolph in the deal.

Granted, I'm not a fan of Randolph's game. I see the size, potential and upside like the rest of you but this kid has some serious problems between the ears. Low basketball IQ, questionable motor, very raw, has little clue what he's doing out there fundamentally and with a history of clashing with his coaching staff. Not to mention he's the epitome of a tweener.

Regardless, at the end of the day you still have to do this trade. Randolph's value as an asset could easily supersede his value as a player at this point. Word has it that's kinda, sort of, just maaaybe Morey's thing -- asset accumulation. Strike now while his value is still relatively high, worry about fits and long-term future later. Players with his size and skill set make one hell of a bargaining chip.

If the Warriors really are, indeed, stupid enough to give up on a 20-year-old all world talent playing on a rookie contract in favor of their 30 win coach -- by all means! I fail to see the logic behind this move from GS's end unless this package is attached to a salary dump. Oh well, I suppose stranger (and dumber) things have happened. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what Dork Elvis has up his sleeves.

But, it's Budinger. I think a good trade would be #14 pick, Knicks 2012 pick, Taylor, and the rights to Llull for #6 and Randolph.

Taylor definitely does not have this kind of value. We'd be lucky if we could get the first pick in the 2nd round for him.

Lemme see, we have Bud, #14, Knicks 2012, Hill, Jeffries going out, and Randolph, Brand, and #2 (Evan Turner) coming back.

    YES!!!

Though, I think we could make the deal with Philly for much less. We'd be taking on a bad contract, after all. Ignoring the CBA for the moment, I think Hill, Jeffries, Battier, Ariza, #6 for Brand, Iguodala, #2 is a better deal.

Chad Ford's newest Mock Draft 3.0 has Cousins sliding to GS @ 6.

Morey might know more than all of us. How wonderful would that be.

    Odom.

That's who Anthony Randolph reminds me the most of. A young Lamar Odom (very versatile). The Rockets would be dumb not to trade for him and the 6th.
