I like the trade. With the 6th pick we could find another player with skills like C-Bud or trade that pick for a vet player that is better than C-Bud right now. I like C-Bud, but im all for making the team better. If morey made thsi deal who knows what other deals he would have in store to make up for trading C-Bud.

When Randolph got time he put up good numbers. I'm not sure what his issues were with Nelson, but he is not the first one to want out under D Nelson. He is still young and maybe just needs a change of scenery (like J Hill). I wouldn't mind having a developing front court with J Hill and A Randolph for the next 5 years. We always complained about being undersized and not having athletes, well here yah go.

Working hard is not enough, lots of players work hard, but their attitude still submarines their careers.

    JR Rider worked hard....

You have to be willing to play a role, but you are right sometimes players thrive after getting onto a new team.

    Drazen Pedrag
    Jermaine O'neal
    Dale Ellis

All blossomed when they went to a new team and got a fresh start......

No love, I would trade him for the right price, this is not it.

WOW!! This thread has reached sticky status in a matter of a couple of hours with 80% on board for the trade to go down.

JR Rider worked hard? He was the epitome of just getting by on talent.

He worked hard physically, and on his game as far as jumpers etc....but his attitude sunk him as a player.

    It happens a lot.

JVG said something the other day which was amazing, and I paraphrase.

"More players today feel a sense of entitlement, more than responsibility"

    That is 100% true, IMO.

JR. Rider is nor will he ever be an Anthony Randolph. Some people have a bad habit of comparing good players to trash.

LOL - we are talking about players that worked hard but their attitudes killed their careers.

Beasley is on the same track, IMO.

I agree with that, but you should replace 'players' with 'kids'.

Beasley needs to forget about basketball, and get totally broken down and built all the way back up. He needs to hang out with Yao and Luis for a summer, he is in the wrong crowd and that sucks to see.

A lot of people feel that giving them shane or trevor won't get the job done. of course we would rather give them a redundant player, and you can bet money that Morey will try to give them someone else other than Bud. but the question to you is, if all else fails, do you do the deal?

it sounds like a lot of people like myself are looking at it from a worst case scenario, and perhaps you should too. that way if morey is able to give them JT and mr. andersen instead of CBud, we can have slow jerk festivals.

Yeah Nate Robinson has so much killer instinct that he barely plays.

No, I don't do the deal, I think Budinger/Hill is a more balanced roster than Randolph/Hill.

And Budinger/Hill has more upside because it is 2 seperate shots at 2 seperate positions.

J.R. Riders first 8 years in the league was far from trash. His problem was attitude.

Actually, the rockets could use the #6 pick to draft a quite good wing player. ;)

New wing player/Randoiph/Hill is even more balanced.

Wrong, now you are taking on a LOT more risk because players taken in the draft beyond the top 4 are very risky.

And, you KNOW that Cbud will contribute on an NBA floor next year, you do not KNOW that from the draft.

Sounds terrible. I don't want Randolph if it means giving up anyone on the roster, especially someone like Bud. I would consider giving up #14 for him but that is not a certainty. THe #6 pick is not that appealing to me
