Im not gonna hate on the M60 i have over 280 kills with it...it was my primary gun when I played Medic.... I need to do the 1 kill RPG 1 kill M60 and 1 kill with knife in a round....i been close soo many times...got killed one time when i was bout to knife a sniper
Oi... so there's a pretty major loophole for attacking teams to exploit in Rush that I just saw for the first time yesterday. However, it requires people willing to suicide continually, so I'm not sure if they'll patch it... that's why I wouldn't call it a "bug," but a "loophole." So apparently, the game doesn't subtract menu suicides from your team's reinforcement tokens (the idea being someone does it to switch class or get back in position with their squad, as I sometimes do). Well, apparently people who intentionally suicide can still be revived for some reason. So if you pair a guy who continually suicides with a Medic buddy, your team effectively has infinite reinforcement tokens. My team was doing it at the end of Valpo yesterday... my team had 90 freakin' tokens. Freakin' pissed me off, so naturally I quit the server... I wasn't the only one either, by the time I realized what was going on, it was like 6-on-12 because no one wanted to be part of that crap. Who knows if other people will start doing it. EA would do well to make it so people who suicide can't be revived.
I just bought the game last night. I started with the campaign first. I'll move to the online part once I finish the game. The controls are very similar to MW2.
I too used to play the hell out of the M60. I've moved on to Assault and Engineer classes lately though, wanting to unlock the weapons. Weapons that are 90% of my deaths include M60, M95, X8, Gustav (rocket launcher thing....right name?) Fun game. Off from work today, so later on....got some gaming to do. BTW, I hate how many servers have kill cam on. They really need to fix the server browser, so that pings show up.....and add more filters to the search options such as, Hardcore....no kill cam, etc. Like MW. I'm sure it's just a matter of time for another update. I too was playing the other day and peeps were c4ing the pt in rush.
I like the controls on BC2 better. I always hit melee button on accident on MW2 when I had a perfect shot on somebody.
Can you not customize your controls so you don't have that problem? When I think of controls, I think of the feel and responsiveness of the controls. I've only had limited play on BC2 single player (patched), and I prefer the feel of MW at the moment. I'm still considering trying out BC2 MP though. Just unsure at the moment as I'm still enjoying MW2.
Since I've started playing BFBC2, I changed my controls on MW2 to "Tactical" -- Now I don't knife the air when I'm trying to crouch.
If you get used to the BFBC2 controls, try switching to the "tactical" controls on MW2. Right stick = crouch and B (red button) = melee. It helps.
ive finally unlocked all the weapons, with recon as the final one. i wasnt a fan of it before playing it, but now i realised its a good class. the motion sensors are a great tool to spot enemies, and c4s are useful for tanks. also i love the vss sniper, its great for close quarter combats.
Is it preset controls schemes or fully customizable? I play on PC so I have full control of that stuff. Presets is weak. Game devs really should just go ahead and make them fully customizable if they haven't.
It's a preset. I don't think it is fully customizable, but I may have missed something. I agree they should make controls fully customizable for sure.
MW2 is more of an individual multiplayer game, whereas BC2 is individual, but is a helluva lot more fun if you are in a squad and playing together. MW2 is more of a conventional FPS, and BC2 with it's destructible terrain, and team oriented goals and features is like the future of FPS's. As a guy who has been making games for 20 years, this is the best multiplayer game I have ever played, it is just flat out amazing. And I could play all day, if I could, each map is different because the buildings and terrain can change, the landscape of the map changes each time you play it.....simply amazing. DD
ijust played a map i have never played before in rush mode. some jungle map. was sooo much fun, was like 55-18
I play both games often. I'm not in the "one is better than the other" camp like so many of my friends are. I like both games for different reasons. CoD does feel a lot more individualistic. I mostly play hardcore headquarters, so obviously that's objective based, but many people will play it like team deathmatch to pad their k/d ratio. I love CoD, though, and I continue to play it often--especially since all maps are now playable on the hardcore headquarters playlist (previously Invasion, Skidrow, Highrise, and Terminal were not in the playlist), so the game has a second life for me. Obviously the campaign in CoD is way better--Playing the BFBC2 campaign just made me appreciate CoD's campaign that much more. That's not to say that the BFBC2 campaign sucked, it just didn't have all the bells and whistles that CoD has. CoD feels a lot smoother, too, but that may be because I play the console versions. That said, BFBC2 is a blast, especially if you have a squad (four buddies). I hate that you can't actually link up squads, but one of us will break off from a squad and invite the 5th or 6th guy if there's less than 12 people in the match to solve that problem. I understand why there can't be more than four people in a squad--I just wish you could link them up. It definitely feels a lot more team-oriented, but when you have a team that doesn't go for the objective, like in the Rush mode where you're either defending or attacking M-COMM stations, it really stinks. The other night I was playing with a team that didn't seem to have a clue, or just didn't care. That's another problem I have with Battlefield--Finding games late at night if you don't have other buddies to play with can be frustrating. Often, I'll end up in games where there are literally six people total or less on BOTH sides combined. Finding a game late at night on CoD is never an issue. Another thing is that it doesn't take too long to unlock everything in BFBC2. So once you do, it's kind of like... Well, now what? You can bronze/silver/gold star different weapons and gadgets, but it doesn't unlock anything like camos, etc. That kind of stuff seems trivial, but it gives me something to work for in CoD (that, along with the Prestige mode). It sounds silly, but when you don't have unlocks to work for, you have less incentive to use certain kits and all that. I do really enjoy both games, though. I like them both for different reasons.
