This really annoys me. I usually spot first before shooting a guy, because after, if he hides in a house or whatever, I will be able to see that red-thingy over his head and destroy him. And if I die, well someone else will! I have trouble spotting with the UAV though, maybe because I fly it too high?
Sometimes I try and spot a guy and for whatever reason it won't take. I usually only spot if I see a sniper, an entire squad running together or a tank.
I rented it and I like it a lot. The single player campaign is much better than MW2. I haven't tried online since I don't have a headset to communicate. I got tired of the MW2 campfest and quickly gave up playing that online.
Spotting does "time out," so sometimes you just have to let it time out. And yes, if you fly too high it doesn't seem to want to spot as easily. I usually fly all the way up and then slowly edge my down until spotting gets easier.
As a medic....what i do most is flank while spotting as many people as i can, i dont worry about the kills...you get a +20 when teammates kill them and rescuing a teammate is a +50 rescuing a squad member is +80 thats better than shooting and being spotted....Im gettng better and better and lucky for me, the people I been playing with randomly play correctly....usually be 2 medics, 1 eng and 1 assault .... I usually hang in the bushs once we near a flag, and then let them go capture it..while spotting or picking off people coming at them...then healing them if they get killed...its great fun...wayyyy better than HQ on MW2
You don't really need a headset for online. There are commands you can use to spot out enemies and that's all you really need to do.
Well now... that was kinda weak. I just played a whole round on Valparaiso as an Engineer... owned on people, killed like 4 tanks with mines, they never even got past the first stations. Advanced to the next map, got kicked 2 minutes in, and none of my progress/unlocks from the last round saved! I even waited ten minutes, reconnected... still nothing. Laaaaaame.
Happened to me also, froze my ps3...was weird......I just played my first round as RECON......15-3 with the 6 kills in a row, and two 5 kills of nemis hahah guys was idiot kept running back to same spot trying to snipe me...Im playing Hardcore...I like it wayyyyy more.... Im still kinda pissed at the Snipers who dont try and capture bases.....if everyone snipes then we lose... My friends begged me to play MW2 and i come to hate that game after playing BC2....just telling the truth.....I no longer find that game fun..
Played tonight for the first time in a week. I was on a Cruise for the past 7 days. Forgot how addicting this game is. They seemed to have fixed all the kinks the game had that were driving me nuts.
I'm debating whether or not to purchase this game. I didn't play the previous Bad Company, but I was a huge fan of Battlefield 1942 and BattleField 2. Are there any glaring differences between the PC and Console version ? I have the option for either.
I bought them both....if you liked 1942, you will love this game. I still think 1942 was the best multiplayer game of all time. DD
Played Conquest today, on both Hardcore and Normal....kept getting stuck on teams where guys want to be RECON run to edge of map and sit there all game....PISSED doesnt explain it....be happy when some of my MW2 finally break down and buy the game
Has anyone else had freezing issues during the campaign? I always install games to my HD (Xbox 360) before playing, and so far on High Value Target, my Xbox has frozen in the same spot 4x. I can do nothing but turn off my Xbox. I can't seem to get beyond this point, so I'm pretty pissed off.
Damn this game is so addicting. Just played an hr or so of it. Had 3 rounds where my combined deaths were 7, and kills 57. Finally started playing recon, and unlocked all the rifles. Was always playing medic before.
I played several rush rounds last night and had the same problem. I think there was only one other person besides myself that wasn't recon. Nobody was trying for the objectives. IT'S NOT FRIGGIN DEATHMATCH!
theres an increasing number of really good heli pilots, which makes a map like acatama desert worse and worse to play on. they will kill u whether ur on foot, in a tank, aa gun, humvee, whatever. im avoiding that map now. good thing africa harbour is going to be a conquest map, cant wait.
