I don’t remember who it was that said the Rockets were getting ready to sign Pig Miller but I do remember a few posters dogging him for claiming to be an insider. Well I don’t know how many people read the Rockets Summery but apparently the guy was right. The Rockets were all set to sign Pig on September 23rd.

    Bad break

Back when the Rockets were collecting physical frontcourt players, they considered Anthony "Pig" Miller a natural fit. He had been training at Westside Tennis Club when he was offered a non-guaranteed contract and a chance to make the team.

But on the morning Miller had planned to accept the offer, Sept. 23, he tore a hamstring hours before he was scheduled to sign a contract. While the Rockets have gone through the first days of training camp this week, Miller has been forced to go through his rehabilitation alone nearby.

"I was about to sign," Miller said. "They just told me to stay ready. You never know what might happen."

Yeah, I read that in today's paper. Man that sucks for him. He goes and gets injured just before signing. TOugh, tough break.

Yep, too bad for him. Stupid hamstring!

But he's still lurking around Houston...

The Chronicle has had a lot of content on pro basketball lately...

Man - imagine how everyone would have felt if he tore it an hour AFTER signing!
