Head could get more minutes, but Francis should get his opportunities as well.

Actually if Francis is really ready to return, he may be the best option to defend Billups in the Denver game. That's a big if though.

Is Francis even able to play?

No one can just come out and makean informed decision and choose Head or Francis straight away.

I say that Rick should give them equal mins for the next few games (maybe 12 mins per game each) and then make a decision on who to give more minutes to after that.

I really hop Rick takes that approach rather than just choosing Head. Because knowing him, he'll just choose head to backup without even thinking about Stevie. I want to give both of them an equal chance and see who plays better under the same circmstance. (same amount of minutes, against same opponent etc.)

My hope for Lao Da playing on the court for Rockets vanished gradually.

Judging by Coach Adelman's preference, I believe Rafer's spot will be taken by Brent Barry instead of Aaron Brooks. Brent or TMac playing PG doesn't mean much, TMac is the playmaker on the court anyway.

Aaron Brooks is too much a liability at the defensive end so far, so does Luther Head.

There's something wrong with all of you if you think Francis should be the backup point guard. He hasn't played a single minute this season and gives us zero reason to believe that he's able to contribute Tmac or Brooks will be handling the ball for us until Rafer gets back. I'm sure Head and Barry will get minutes, I doubt they'll handle the ball if Tmac/Brooks is also in the game.

I never never want to see Luther at point guard. I dont even want to see him onthe court, but he has proven he is not a point guard.

Last Year he tried to be a PG and he struggled bringing the ball up and starting any offense

Under JVG he layed Point Guard and was a turnover machine. Even Under Adelman he has proven he cant handle the rock

Not a huge fan of Barry at Point Guard because he cant defend anybody and is probally the slowest guy on the court plus hes coming back from injury and has been off.

That leaves Steve. If healthy Steve should play but I have a feeling that Adelman doesnt like Steves game very much. Like many people said theres kind of a bad vibe around the entire situation. I know coaches arent suppose to take things personally but Rick has chosen to give fringe NBA player like Wafer and Head time over former allstar Steve Francis. Kind of Strange.

Maybe im making something out of nothing but my choice would be Steve, but I think Rick's gonna go with Air Head

    Neither.
One is useless at the point, the other is useless at the court at this point.

Maybe useless is a bit too strong of a word, how about will not be able to contribute...

With Rafer being day to day with this hamstring injury I believe now is the time with no excuses. But knowing coach which i believe uses his starters too much will not use Francis. My best bet will be Head or Barry since he may return this week but isn't sure himself.

Thank god the coach has a brain and is running the team. All of you who voted for sf3 are on crack. And those that said he should start need a labotomy.

Head is not a good choice but he's better than SF3 who is just stealing les' money.

Man oh man! You've gotta be kidding me.

I would stick to Rafer even if we have a chance at getting Miller. He's old and slow and not even strong as Yao.

Miller can still shoot the midrange jumper and is a great passer for his size still right?

him at the top of the key finding AB0, Wafer, Artest, Landry for backdoor cuts or hit the jumper. i dunno i just thought he would fit like he did back in the Adelman, Webber, Peja days.

If we gonna talk about old players Adelman had then I'll take Bibby over Miller. Yao is a good passer also but with Bibby running the offense I believe things would be much better.

Francis isn't in game shape, and I doubt he'll even see much time.

Head will be the backup point, but hopefully he never brings the ball up or set up the offense. I'd rather have TMAC do it. If TMAC isn't in the game, I'd give the ball to Artest and let him create.

Just let Head defend the PGs...

People that are hating on Rick for not giving SF3 a chance don't understand that all NBa teams have practice sessions. I'm sure that Stevie plays in practise, and I'm sure that he is yet to impress Adelman during these practices.

Neither. It should be Brent Barry, when he's ready.

SF should at least be given a chance to show his ability. Head, no, he's one dimensional and can only play as a catch and shot. Asking him to play as a PG is akin to inviting trouble for him and everybody.
