While we're still searching for a starting point guard and a 2nd playmaker behind Harden, how about Morey sign this kid to a contract while no one has. If Hassan Whiteside can produce coming out of the D-League, don't see why Seth can't. Looks like he's been working on his game and have benefitted from watching and playing with his older brother. Heck, he can stroke it. Would fit well in McHale's system. What do ya'll think? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZPkDVX3IVo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVnqfeYa9WQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qo5jFThtPL8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bsyH0jBhZw
He could be our Troy Daniels, maybe a little better. Marcus Thornton already has this role though and is probably going to be much more effective. I just want a new starting pg. Lawson da creator
He can't shoot the three, but plays defense and makes plays. He's just not the creator that we need. He's not creative enough to make a difference.
Troy's one dimensional and can only play shooting guard. This kid is a combo guard and can create off the dribble as well. Would be a better backup than our old reserve PG's. Perhaps, he knows how to stop his big brother as well?
The only reason to bring Seth to this team would be to recruit his brother to play for us in the future.
He shot: 1/3 1/5 1/6 1/9 2/7 In summer league. The no defense league. That's 20% if you add it all up. Inside the 3 point line he was excellent though.
So according to you, he sudenly cant shoot threes, do you understand what you are talking? He shot around 320 threes last season in Dleague, you just suddenly dont lose your ability to shoot.
You know what other guards can shoot 3's like crazy? Jimmer Fredette, John Jenkins, Ben Gordon, Dellavedova and our very own free agent Terry. Lets focus on signing one of those proven nba players instead of a D-league super scrub star who's already signing with the Pelicans.
Actually i'd like to temporarily hijack this thread for a second (Seth is already getting a contract anyways) What about Dellavedova? Reports came out yesterday that his deal with the Cavs fell apart and that the Cavs are just giving the qualifying offer now. Matthew Dellavedova can be given a poison pill contract, a full MLE poison pill contract will be hard for the Cavs to match with James, Irving, Love, Thompson all getting max deals. I don't follow him much at all, I didn't even really watch the finals that closely, but from his stats he can hit the 3, he has good size, and he's supposedly a good defender? Only in his sophomore season at 24 he has potential. Again I don't follow him that closely, but from the little I have heard about him I wouldn't mind a Beverley / Dova rotation.
No... Dellavedova would be settling. He is a poor man's Pat Bev and really doesn't give much on offense. The only thing he may add to the team is ball handling, but any scrub PG could do that. In truth, he shouldn't be anything more than the third PG on a contender.
