Shaq should be a good backup center for Yao.

Ken Johnson is playing in the NBDL. I have posted this before, but I think that Chris Mihm would be the perfect backup for Yao next year if we can trade Cato.

I don't know what the answer is, but I am sick and tired of both Oakley and Weatherspoon being on the floor together in the 4th quarter. I'm sorry, but they are both too old and too slow. They can each serve a purpose on the team, but they have no business being out there together. It's like we are playing 5 on 4 they are so slow.

If we're talking next year, I say we keep Cato and try to trade either MoT or Weatehrspoon.

Cato does make a lot at 8M, but the only way we replace him is if we get someone who's as good a rebounder and shotblocker. Not going to happen.

We need two shotblockers in the game to keep Yao out of foul trouble.

When Cato plays all the backup 5 minutes and most of the backup 4 minutes, he's worth the money he makes. He's very valuable to this team, our defense has suffered tremendously during his absence.

I'd love to trade MoT for someone like Juwan Howard. The guy can be a big small forward or a PF. Did a great job in Denver and Orlando.

    How about this deal:

    MoT to Seattle
Howard, Lue, Steven Hunter to Houston
Calvin Booth, Antonio Daniels to Orlando

I think Orlando are giving up a bit more than they're getting, so I'd be open to taking on any of their players (aside from Grant Hill) in exchange for that portion of the trade exception.

    James/Potapenko
    MoT/Collison/Evans
    Lewis/Radomanovic
    Allen/Murray
    Barry/Ridnour

    Yao/Cato/Steven Hunter
    Howard/Cato/Weatherspoon
    JJ/Howard/Boki
    Mobley/Francis
    Francis/Lue

    Booth/Declerq/Pachulia
    Gooden/Rooks/Garrity
    Grant Hill/Garrity/Britton Johnsen
    McGrady/Stevenson
    Daniels/Gaines/Lottery Pick

    Thoughts?

Chris Mihm is a joke, dude can't crack the staring line up for the Celtics. Hell no to Mihm ever being in a Houston Rocket Uni. As far a serviceable big man how about Hamilton ( 2 sandwiches)?

The rockets don't need another big man casue Cato is gonna be back in the next couple of games or so.

Chris Mihm is NOT a joke. Mihm reminds me a lot of Joe Klein minus the physical aspect of Klein's game. Mihm could be a very effective 5 with Yao on the bench. He can shoot from outside so the lane wouldn't be clogged for Steve. Mihm can block some shots and grab some boards. The reason he doesn't get much run with the Celts is that they are trying to get more athletic, our style would be a good fit for Mihm. I say Cato to the Celts for Mihm and Atkins to backup Steve.
