True but wasn't JO pretty much healthy the entire year?

While Tracy didn't last past the All-Start break, and was here and there before, plus we don't know if he'll even be back or if he does when.

They are both risks when it comes to health but I think we need more clarification as to the time table of his recovery...

    What an *******!

We should have got him in the Quitten deal long ago instead of Cato.

We could have had JO and Rashard Lewis.

God, I'm glad CD is no longer the GM of this team.

Get Bibby, Peja, Hedo and Bobby jackson...then go for Jermaine O'neal, Stephen Jackson and resign Ron and we will become the Sacramento Pacers!!!

I hear ya, so would I. All i'm saying is as of right now JO has no health issues while we're looking at probably 1/2 season of McGrady. JO is about as flaky and injury prone as they come but you could make the argument that type of player would be an upgrade over a McGrady coming off microfracture surgery.

Again, definitely not my first choice but if we're REALLY looking at about a half season of McGrady and want to maximize his value, trading for a healthy player with an identical contract is at worst case scenario a lateral move.

Reggie is too busy being Reggie in the TNT studios and then putting his wig on and calling himself Cheryl while doing court side interviews of the players.

JO's too small and too fragile.

something must be wrong. Just because those teams suck doesn't mean some players on the team are bad. I would take players from any one of those teams.

I guess you wouldn't want Danny Granger. D.J Augustine or Ramon Felton. Al Thorton. The Knicks are just a joke but they have players. I'll take Chris Wilcox in a heart beat. Wilson Chandler has lots of potential.

    Good point.

That said, I wouldn't touch Al Thornton with a 10-foot pole. The guy has a terribly low basketball IQ. He puts up numbers on a bad team. Essentially, he's the Anti-Battier. I guarantee you that the Rockets would lose more games with Al Thornton a regular in their lineup.

Al Thornton would be a Josh Smith of the West. Low BB IQ can improve. example- Von Wafer. Even though he still made some bone headed plays he did the right thing. Put Thornton on a veteran team and I'll bet he grows

What would we have to trade to get him. I would love to have him as a starting powerforward and he could switch off with luis scola off the bench. We'd have a very scary front court.

No way JO accepts a backup role or backup money. We'd have to overpay for a guy that doesn't want to even play backup.

    for the minimum hell yeah!

But what makes you think he wants to come to rox? If its for a low contract, he can easily goes to the Celts, Magic, Cavs or Lakers. Those are the elite teams that have shown to be the closest to getting the ring.

Great chance for a ring? If all I wanted was to ride a team's coattails to a ring why would I go to Houston over proven championship contenders like SA, Lakers and Boston? The only reason we got BB last year was because SA didn't want him anymore.

Shows what ya'll think about the Rockets. I understand that we aren't in the elite class, but really how much of that has to do with injuries, a sh** load. I'm sure plenty of players have watched our team and have said damn they've got some players.

If we have just one season of full health... wishful thinking.... we would be right there.

I'm ok with O'neal I think he still has something left cuz we need somebody who can play 10 minutes at least so Yao will still be in better shape come playoff time. We really pushed him too far after Deke's injury.

    How about Miller Reggie? :D

Guys, what part of "$21 million player option for 2009-10" don't you understand???

Unless Miami trades him, Jermaine O'neal will be playing for the Heat next season.

And if someone does trade for him, they will be paying the cat $21 million, which would seem to be antithetical to Daryl Morey's approach.
