I've only had one year (as an adult) where I wasn't either teaching or a student (or both), and it was weird. Personally, I like the academic schedule, the rhythm of the calendar, and yes, even the work. I don't know how most of y'all stand the "real world", but I'm glad somebody can because that leaves enough of the teaching jobs for those of us who always liked school.
Back to school means football and more football!! Also that means Halloween is just right around the corner (excuse for girls to dress as slutty as they want and other beotches can't talk **** about them). Best of all Rockets start season a couple days before Halloween. Good times. I just wished I was still in college. Meeting/bringing girls back home was so easy back then. Not just purely in terms of the number of girls aptly available but the whole going to a bar/party a couple of blocks from home and being able to walk and or stumble home was so convenient. To all you guys still in school... don't let opportunity go to waste.
I will start sept 22 which is second start at HCC. I would feel better about going or more motivated if i knew what i was going for or if there was a goal i was working toward. I dont know what i wanna do or be! Im 23 BTW. I need help!
Classes start for me in a little over an hour. And I have a freakin' COLD. I NEVER get sick. And I mean NEVER. And today, of course, I feel like a bag of smashed assholes.
I just dropped my daughter off for her first day of school ever. She's starting pretty young, pre-pre-k, so I hope her day goes well. I am not going back. I just graduated from B-school in May. I miss school. I started liking school in 11th grade or so, and I don't think I perform anywhere as well as I do in classes and on the BBS. Here's to living vicariously through my children!
finals? Didn't "sound" like moes. Classes start TODAY. It's back to "I can't log in to the system" for most students, and "I can't log in to the system" for most FACULTY here.
Last undergraduate semester. Yes I'm excited. However I'm even more excited about grad school in January. More studying in your major subject, without all of the riff-raff of core requirements, foreign language requirements, arts and sciences additional requirements.
Hmm, this is when there's all kinds of free stuff being handed out on campuses. I should stop by an HCC or something for a free lunch.
What a pleasure it was to have my wife get up BEFORE me this morning....for the first time in 3 months. It's been a long summer. It will be even better when she goes to bed tonight at 7:30. Hello Playstation!
No kidding? So did mine and I had trouble going back to sleep . Are you teaching school at all yet? I thought you'd get up earlier than her. Mine does.
