and again we lost to three pretty good football teams (two of which could definately wind up in the superbowl) and were in a good position to win all of those games...two of which were without mario and aj.

I'm happy they won but Kubiak needed to go 2 years ago, last year and so still needs to go this year. I don't care if we make playoffs, Kubiak has to go.

Texans are what they are. Previous bandwagoners realize that now, they're average to mediocre until proven otherwise. "Fool me once, shame on you -- "

Texans today stood to LOSE people OFF the bandwagon more than actually GAIN. Texans will gain real bandwagoners when they have a 3 game division lead late in the season. Or after they've actually clinched.

In the end, I can only be upset at the Raiders lost. Getting beat on the road against 2 Super Bowl caliber teams, even after being head, isn't alarming.

Should be 5-2 IMO. Hopefully, we can can make it up by getting both the Atlanta and TB games. If so, 10-11 wins should be a given.

Then you need not follow this team much more... sounds like you've already made up your mind no matter how they do this year.

I feel that's the case every week... Texans fandom gets set back more with losses than it gets propped up with wins. The Steelers game is a perfect example of that... beat a legit playoff team in a hard faught game (and sometimes look dominating at doing it), and people complained more about the dumb penalties and the Steelers having lots of fans there.

I don't expect much more from this win... where the Titans were flat-out exposed. However, all I heard all week was about how they were legit and how the Texans weren't going to be able to withstand their strong play at home, and would have an uphill battle for the division.

I think the Texans when healthy are top 2 in the AFC.....unfortunately, they have not been healthy and won't be now that Mario is out all year.

Until this team puts together a string of wins, I wouldn't blame anybody for NOT being on their bandwagon. Team Disappointment has a long history of breaking their fans hearts. They are also extremely unlucky with injuries to key players, have a subpar head coach, and are capable of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory at any moment. Like so many others, I so want to believe, but I still have doubts. Impressive win today, but let's see what they do with two home games they SHOULD win. Given their history, there are no sure things.

Kubiak really impressed me with his play calling. He stuck with the game plan and the team executed it. The win today basically just showed that we are a quality team. The only way we separate ourselves is if we dominate these next two games.

I think coaches in any sport including the NFL are kind of overrated.

Jim Caldwell went 14-2 and went the superbowl is he better than kubes?
What about Ken Whisenhunt, or Bill Callahan?

Mike Shannon looked like a genius when he had Elways. Martz looked pretty smart with Warner.

I think if Kubes had Peyton or brady or brees or rogers or heck even kurt warner he would look a lot better.

Lets look at the last 10 years of the superbowl and you need one of two things to make it:
    1) Elite QB
    2) Elite Defense

I think its safe to say that shaub will likely never be an elite QB. So either we need an elite D or trade shaub.

With wade and another draft and FA we might have an elite defense so there is hope.

The Texans have only passed one Test.
The Pittsburgh. The Titans are fraud. Every other team has been weak.
    Or a loss.

HERE IT IS. The 'HARDEST Schedule in Football' was not enough to fire Kubes
in face was reason enough to keep him because McNair felt it was sssooooo unfair

Well . . Playing the EASIEST SCHEDULE in football " Should not be enough
to hail him cure of all his ills.

This schedule is soft. . make no mistake

    REST OF THE SCHEDULE

    1 Sep 11 IND 7 @ HOU 34 0-6
    2 Sep 18 HOU 23 @ MIA 13 0-6
    3 Sep 25 HOU 33 @ NO 40 4-2
    4 Oct 02 PIT 10 @ HOU 17 5-2
    5 Oct 09 OAK 25 @ HOU 20 4-2
    6 Oct 16 HOU 14 @ BAL 29 4-1
    7 Oct 23 HOU @ TEN 3-4
    8 Oct 30 JAC @ HOU 1-5
    9 Nov 06 CLE @ HOU 3-3
    10 Nov 13 HOU @ TB 4-3
    11 Bye
    12 Nov 27 HOU @ JAC 1-5
    13 Dec 04 ATL @ HOU 4-3
    14 Dec 11 HOU @ CIN 4-2
    15 Dec 18 CAR @ HOU 2-5
    16 Dec 22 HOU @ IND 0-6
    17 Jan 01 TEN @ HOU 3-4

Only three more teams with winning records
    One of them at home.
No team with a better Record than us.
IMO the Texans should be favored for the rest of the season
that is how weak this schedule is

I don't think anyone else in our division ends up with a winning record.
[Titans maybe lucky to get to 8-8]
Carolina and Miami won't have winning records
That is 8 wins there. Or should be.

Cleveland, Tampa, and Atlanta - anyone think any of them win 10 games?

I started the season saying the Texans should be 12-4
They had the talent for it
    but
    I settled on 10-6 . . because Kubes F****s up about 2 games a year

on the bandwagon? Off the bandwagon?

This season will be made or broken in the Playoffs.

Good win in the playoffs. .. or go home.

Get ready to be disappointed in regards to Kubiak. If we make the playoffs, he isn't going anywhere.

I know. Next year. When the Titans, Colts and Jags should be better
    Playing a stronger schedule .. .
    I will be very worried

when the contrarian is healthy, we're one of the best goal line offenses/
when AJ is there, we're one of the best offenses period. Just need the main guys to be healthy when the playoffs start.

And the defense is top 10, can be a top five with a Kjackson ankle sprain.:p
19 sacks for the D so far and they're able to get off the field on 3rd downs for the first time since 2002.
