Really looking forward to going back. I love going to movies. Looking at what’s coming out, it will probably be early July when Black Widow comes out that gets me there.

I love going to the movies. I just looked on my AMC app, the last movie I went to was Downhill on Valentine’s Day 2020. Cancelled my movie pass after COVID started and haven’t been back.

But when Fast 9 is out, I’ll be there

Last movie i saw at a movie theater was "The Sixth Sense", so I'm not too phased either way.

My sixth sense is telling me that you don't watch a lot of movies in the theater.

Yeah, now that you put it that way, I agree: would definitely not turn down a Black Widow lesbian scene.

Went back this weekend to catch a Quiet Place 2. Loved the experience and the movie. My wife loved it too. Damn that was a lot of fun. It feels good to have things start returning to normal.

The only movie worth watching in theaters since this thread was made was the Tom Cruise airplane movie where they could have avoided all the drama if they just used drones. I think the only movies I've seen in theaters since this thread was made - BP2, Doctor Strange, Barbarian. Nothing good comes out anymore.

I like Star Cinema Grill in Cypress. Respectable food, and comfy seats. Most movies I watch just in the house w/ the sound system cranked up, but I do love going to the movies too still.

I think I am looking for the BEST IMAX movie house.
I don't think I have done a TRUE IMAX movie in a while

SNL had a skit where nobody could name a movie in the last three years other than Top Gun. And there is some truth in it. The road back is gonna be long.

I saw Avatar 2 in IMAX and glad I did. I don’t think seeing it on a small screen would’ve done justice.

Ironically, I miss the dollar theaters of the 80s. The assigned seating, giant recliners, cupholders, and all that jazz (with associated costs, of course) somehow makes the whole thing less appealing to me.

Heard that the theaters now are charging more for any seat not in the first three rows. Lucky for me, I like row 3. I know they need the money, but it still feels like dick move.

I saw it in in the Mega Box Theater in Hong Kong.

Also even in Hong Kong there are rude theater goings. The woman next to me took a couple of cell phone calls during the movie. I shot her a dirty look and was going to say something but since I was with my dad I didn't want to make a scene.
