Hotels are good, just make sure it's a really big ass room - or maybe even ask the hotel if they have any party rooms, etc.... then nobody's house gets wrecked, and nobody's wife gets pissed that their house got wrecked.

You guys have given me some good ideas. As far as renting a place, I just thought of something where I might get a good deal. I'm looking at beach and bay houses on Galveston island right now. I even found one place that is on the gulf course that looks over West Bay.

Dude....don't do it in Houston. I had mine in New Orleans, we were there Friday and Saturday night...it was AWESOME !! Then, the next friend of mine got married, and we went to Amsterdam....oh MY GAWD !!! The last one I went to was in Vegas.....and that was fun too. I would do it in Vegas or New Orleans....either one would be a blast. DD
Completely agree with DD. I had mine in New Orleans, and so did 3 of my other friends. I've also been to about 10 in Houston. Houston does not even compare to New Orleans. And the best part is that it is only a six hour drive from Houston, and the other people are flying, so either drive them from Houston, or make them buy a plane ticket to NO. Just as cheap, if not cheaper than buying a beach house, and it will go down as unforgettable. FYI: Make sure you get a hotel on Bourbon street. Trust me and DaDa on this.
Do it in the ATL. I had my batchelor party at the Gold Club and unlike Patrick Ewing, for my broke Jarhead ass there was no sex in the champagne room. My best friend from h/s, my Marine buddies and I tore it down that night. Awesome, awesome girls.

I'm going to be talking with the groom tonight to get a feel for what would be the best way to get people in. The wedding is just two weeks later, so it may be a challenge to get people in for both events. Funny thing is, we've discussed NO as well (NO is my favorite city in the US). Let me get a feel for that, and if we stay in town, and everyone is amenable to the "get together at one place" idea, I'll defintely call you, Roc Paint.....thanks again.
