Young teams with load of potential are good for discussion and prediction. You're more ludicrous than me if you thought that because a team was bad now, they would be bad forever. I guess you're the kind who only see the present but not the big picture right?
Actually you don't see the big picture. You are just assuming that Chandler is the next KG. Please, tell me how Chandler embodies KG. I can cite as many examples of young teams with nice looking rosters who flopped, as you can tell me young teams with nice looking rosters who panned out. The difference is that you don't seem to provide evidence to your feeling. I guess it's just a gut feeling that you cannot explain? Certainly you cannot logically explain the Chandler-KG comparison.
If you think my comparsion between Chandler and KG is outrageous, please read our fellow posters' opinion of Eddie Griffin (http://bbs.clutchcity.net/php3/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37969&perpage=30&pagenumber=1). There is prefectly okay to speculate what a 19/20-year-old could do.
WTF? That still doesn't tell me what Chandler and KG have in common. Also, I am not a big fan of EG, so I don't know what your point is. Just admit you're wrong, before you come up with another lame retort.
Didn't I say POTENTIAL? It's all about that. Like people say that Lebron James is the next Jordon. He might not be there yet but has the athleticism raw talent and potential to get there otherwise they wouldn't be lottory picks. Don't forget the player is just 20 so he can certainly improve. Last time I checked KG didn't have the defense, ball handling and jump shot either when he first came to the league. All KG had was insane athleticism back then. Anyway, even Chandler doesn't turn into the KG. Chicago still has a very good team. They can develop Curry as a primary inside scoring presence, Rose outside. Chandler is already a rebounding and shot blocking defender. And 2 very promising young PGs to run the show. Add another wing player like James or Anthony. I think their futurn look quite promising. And remember again all those playes are only around 20.
I just have a REALLY REALLY hard time seeing Chandler coming close to as skilled as KG. The day that Chandler can shoot off the dribble or pass to open teammates, is the day that Krause loses weight. Curry is a nice player, but I see Michael Owolokandi in him. The Bulls have a nice collection of young talent, that is obvious. What isn't so obvious is that they are bound for greatness. They have very little concept of team play, as well as defense. Probably the 2 most important aspects of the NBA. Until they do that, they will be a bad team.
