You know what I hate about these types of threads? IMO, this thread was clearly started to discuss horribly bad movies. As in the type of movies that are so bad it's almost funny. The ones that NO ONE likes. The ones that have terrible production value, etc. Then you get a bunch of people hopping in the thread simply throwing out movies they didn't care for but a lot of other people loved. Why are they doing this? Just for the attention. It's like hopping up and down and saying "LOOK AT ME, I DIDN'T LIKE THIS MOVIE THAT EVERYONE LOVED!"
Worst movie I have ever seen? Probably some piece of crap my mom rented when I was a kid like the Stone Boy or Paris, Texas. Worst failure to live up to the source material? Dune. Although the mini-series was really good.
Your Creed metaphor is brilliant even though I disagree with your opinion of Magnolia. In fact, I enjoy a few of the movies that these folks have posted (X-Men-excluding Last stand, the Star Wars prequels, Never Ending Story, House of a 1000 Corpses, Running Man, Napolean Dynamite, Tank Girl, etc.) I don't know if I'm on the same page as pugsly8422 but, I always found Monty Python movies to be highly overrated. I think I lost interest in all of their movies after about an hour into it. Their show was a million times better. Worst movies that I have paid for - Insomnia and Ghost Rider. They are the only two movies I have walked out of. Since I work with teenagers, I have been exposed to some horrible movies - Stomp the Yard, You Got Served, Drumline, any movie with The Rock, any movie with the Olsen twins....Hell, I could go on all night.
Lost Highway....It just seemed like every scene had nothing to do with any other scene I had seen earlier in movie. At least that was the case for all scenes before I walked out.
I saw Pathfinder the other day and it was just awful. The other movie that was pretty bad was Man of the Year. Those movies were chock full of suck.
The Hollow Man What Dreams May Come True Chuck and Buck - o my. The premise of this film: I'm no homo. But maybe??? If I can have that rotten teethed dude.
I loved Napolean dynamite. I dressed up as Pedro for halloween with his bolo necklace tie, mustache, and wig. It's either you love or hate that movie.
you could say that about any movie mentioned. for all those who love star wars, there are multiple people who either hate it or have never seen any of them. the same goes with every other movie ever made. there is going to be a group of people who like it, and then a mass that don't.
Yeah, I'm not sure folks have really encountered a truly 'bad' movie. Like, say <a href="http://s249.photobucket.com/albums/gg234/rokkit_photos/?action=view¤t=Ffmovie1994.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg234/rokkit_photos/Ffmovie1994.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> or <a href="http://s249.photobucket.com/albums/gg234/rokkit_photos/?action=view¤t=raptorisland.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg234/rokkit_photos/raptorisland.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> or maybe <a href="http://s249.photobucket.com/albums/gg234/rokkit_photos/?action=view¤t=Leprechaun5Hood.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg234/rokkit_photos/Leprechaun5Hood.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> I think the worst movie I have seen in recent memory is Hitman. I'm talking mind-numbingly stupid. In one scene this french SWAT-like team (who happen to be armored up like Halo soldiers) go to capture Hitman, who is holed up in a ritzy hotel. They take the elevator.
This one was really bad. 10 Fangs, 8 Legs, 2 Claws, 1 Bad Attitude. ARACHNIA No, NOT Arachnophobia. That movie was cool.
