Nash, to me, is the best PG still playing. He can shoot and create shot selections for his teammates. Its also good to see AB make the list.

That is why he is not as good as Deron for me. But his shooting is also not a huge deal considering he does not force shots he cannot make ala rafer alston. He is so good at everything else, it does not make a huge difference

He sank a couple last game. I wouldn't call him incapable but rather weak. He is only getting better.

He took into account games played as a measure, yet just takes the top 5. So...if the players played 80,79,75,76,50...it would be ranked the same as 80,78,77,76,75. Not to mention that the sixth player would get no points at all.

How hard is it to do all 30 starting point guards? It would have made his article a little more credible.

If he had the responsibility of a Nash, a Paul, or a Deron Williams, I honestly think it would make a huge difference. It certainly helps that he's the fourth option on his team.

Maybe I overstated the issue, but he's really quite bad. He shot 62% from the FT line this year, 21% from the 3P line. He's considerably worse than Jason Kidd was when he first came into the league, and that's saying something. You said he's only getting better, but in terms of his shot, he's barely improved since his rookie year.

Whoa... Chauncy scores more per minute than AB? I thought AB would at least be ahead of Chauncy.

    This.

Russell Westbrook will probably be in the top 5 PG discussion next year.

    Rondo
    Paul
    Nash
    Williams
    Westbrook.

Actually I think Rondo's shooting abilities or lack of it, indicate that great shooting is not needed in a pg. The key word is decent.

Ignoring the fact that I think even calling his shooting decent would be questionable, I do agree that a player can have success playing the point without a jumper. I'm not saying Rondo's not good. He's very good. Probably a top 5 point guard in the league.

But there are posters in this thread calling him the best PG in the NBA. With his limitations as a scorer stemming from his lack of shooting ability, I think that's a bit ridiculous. That's why, all things equal if I had one game or series to win, I'd take Nash, Paul, or Williams over Rondo.

Exactly. There really isn't much proof to support an argument of any PG being better than a healthy Chris Paul. He is amazing.

I don't understand why the Celtics even run a pick and roll for Rondo. Pretty obvious the Lakers completely backed off him coming off that pick to stay on their perimeter guys.
