there's nothing to examine but your stupid thread titles. you do it for a reaction and now you complain about the reaction? you got exactly what you wanted.
I've examined it. I've asked you twice to explain your reference to "B-Fro." All you can come up with is a reference to Frodo made by someone else in a context that is completely opposite of everything you've ever posted here. You've refused to describe why you made the reference because it will obviously make you look ridiculous. You've boxed yourself in a corner. You either confess and say it has nothing to do with "B-Fro" or you agree that the Bush administration was corrupted by power and committed all types of misdeeds and you're hoping for Obama does not succumb to the same evil. Yes, you're a racist. You either don't realize it, which is understandable but sad... or you're pretending not to realize it, which is pathetic and worthy of contempt. I think a preponderance of the evidence is lining up in support of the latter.
the reason all i came up with is Frodo is because that's all there is. and if you think it's racist, you have no concept of true racism.
So you do agree the Bush administration was corrupted by power and did all sorts of evil things and you're now wishing the best for Obama as he tries to deal with that legacy. Got it. Oh, by the way, I grew up in East Texas. I know racism, thank you... and as Bats pointed out, it doesn't have to be the caricature of dropping the n-word and burning crosses. It can be much more insidious, as you so amply demonstrate.
A good number of people seem to "misunderstand" you. As stated before, maybe YOU are the one with the problem and not everybody else. In my lifetime, the people I've met who constantly claim to be "misunderstood" actually have themselves to blame. Either they are (1) lying or (2) the way they express themselves is "out of touch". Which is it here? I think it's #1.
I waited until this damn thread got to 3 pages before even clicking on it, just because he had that BS in the title.
basso is a smart guy. the problem is that he has an agenda that dovetails with the irrationally fascist ideology of the republican party.
trouble is, i'm not a republican, nor, as i've mentioned elsewhere, a conservative. and facists and socialists have much more in common w/ one another than you might wish.
basso, you obviously are a rascist and unfortunately steadfast in it. Everytime you post a topic or someone is mentioned in a post who happens to be black you start tearing them down and then play leap frog jumping to others whose main commonality is their race. You are disgusting, and as infantile as it makes me seem, If I weren't a father of two, I'd stomp your a** down where you stand if I ever met you. Grow the f*** up. Have some backbone, talk about real issues and don't blindly support an agenda that only props you up.
Which thread did I cry "racist"? I didn't in the NY Post thread. In fact I said that I believed the cartoon wasn't racist, but that it was understandable for people to get the idea at first glance. I didn't in your silly b-fro thread title thread either. But what is silly is for you to sit there and lambast others for not engaging in debate when you started a second -fro thread. If (and it's a huge if) you started the first -fro thread in complete innocence, you certainly knew that the name detracted from debate of the intended issue by the second thread you started with that in the title.
Of course you're not. You're the only non-conservative, non-Republican in the universe who thinks Palin would make a great Vice-President.
I am a true Conservative with a capital C, and I agree with you that you are not being racist. I hate that Obama was elected President, but he won. Now, he is our President and Commander in Chief and he deserves respect. Making up nicknames for him is counterproductive, especially when they can be easily mistaken as a slur against his ethnicity. Of course, you are free to mock the President, but you will kill your message in the process. It appears as if you have already given up exchanging ideas, which is the purpose of this forum I would hope.
Why don't you do your favorite thing in the world and start another thread? This time, instead of a bunch of stupid bobbing, weaving and mis-direction, just tell us where you stand on the issues of the day? Then, O man of mystery, the misunderstandings will cease. That is, if you truly want people to understand you. The game is old and it's biting you right now. So stop playing the games! You seem like a juvenile who wants to be respected. Suggestion: If you quit acting like a juvenile, you may get respect. And don't come back with "I don't care how you, or anyone else here, feels about me" because we all know that's baloney. Your entire persona here is one of crying for attention. I dare you to start a thread and lay it all on the line to stop the guessing. But that isn't what you want, O man of mystery.
I feel that there is way to much sensitivity to stupid comments with the possibility of racism, it is used far too often as a wedge. That said, I agree completely with the above. Once you have determine that a statement is considered racist it is counterproductive to use it if you are truly trying to get your message across. I also agree with the idea that we should respect the office of president. Nobody did it with Bush, including the media, but that doesn't mean it's OK.
