I have to admit, this guy has been very disappointing. No wonder the spurs let him go. Hes old now and I havent seen him make a 3 YET after watching about 10 rockets game so far. That is just absolutely unacceptable even if it is because of his injury. That isnt an excuse.

I was also at the game... and the thing that pissed me off the most about Barry was his HORRIBLE defense. All the Wizards had to do to get a wide open look was get Barry involved in defending the pick and roll.. or just simply isolate him. The D from him was pathetic
Anyone missing Gerald Green yet? Should have nab Green to summer league. His right there training at houston. I wonder which is worst.. gay and swift for battier or Barry/wafer for Green....
Green is starting for Dallas, getting 25+ minutes a night. Numbers and experience come with minutes. Where exactly would you see Green fitting in and getting minutes here, especially when Battier comes back? Sad truth is there are any number of guys who get splinters on the ass that, if given experience and opportunity, could be potential all-stars. But we don't have the minutes to allow players to develop like Dallas, who's window has closed IMO. We HAVE to win now, or rebuild. Only then would Green get a chance.
Brent Barry will be an extremely valuable piece to the puzzle. You people need to have more patience.

Give it some time he'll come around to his regular self. Right now im more worried about his defence, ofcourse its an improvement from his seattle days, but its still a fair liability. For the person hu said Ron Artest's trade whether it was a sucess or not is still in the air ......Check out his outstanding defence, he's shutting ppl down like the most recent example was Caron Butler, Who everyone know's is deadly.
His shooting hand is bothering him right now so we have to cut him some slack but if I were a coach and see my guy struggling to score, pass and play defense for 4-5 games in a row, I'd replace him with Wafer / Head everytime.
terrible. i dont know why anyone would be giving him minutes over head. how can you miss that many wide open 3s? ill give him the benefit of the doubt and maybe its bc of his hand. if so, take him out until he can actualy do what he is paid for. at least luther can make the 3s and creat his own basket, unlike slow barry.
Well I don't know about creating his own shot but Head can knock down the open 3. He has proven he can... Well as long as its not playoff time.
Barry keeps the ball moving and makes good decisions. He also works well with Brooks. For some reason Brooks goes off when Barry is in the game. Head...... well...... good grief..... there's no describing how awful he is. He can shoot, and that's it. Just watching him bring the ball up court makes me cringe. I never said he can bring the ball up and make the correct pass. I did say he can knock down the open 3 which you agreed w/. As far as Barry bring the ball up and make good decisions, I havn't seen it thus far in the season. Trust me I know he has high bball IQ and he is a good player BUT as of now he hasn't looked to good. So if he isn't passing the ball off well or knocking down the open 3 bring in Head. Sure he isn't going to make smart pass's but at least he will knock down some shots & score some points. At least do it tell Barry can work out of the funk he is in. This isn't a knock on Barry I like the guy. I'm just saying what I think will be best for the team.
Adelman is going to go with the players he thinks will help us the most in the long term. Barry might be struggling now, but eventually he should turn it around. In the meantime, he does some other positive things on the court on the offensive end. He keeps the ball moving the way the coaches want it to move. If many weeks past and he still can't hit his shot, Adelman will eventually try something else. It's not like he has really great options sitting on the bench. Luther and Wafer will have their bad stretches as well.
