Atyon wanted to get paid, Suns said no, now the bluff is called.

Don’t really care. Ayton at Max screws both franchises. Neither has the goods to win a championship. CP3 is on his last legs. Phoenix and Indy are on the long road of mediocrity. Nets not far behind. HaHaHaHa

I agree with this. To me, it's similar to what happened in OKC 10 years ago. Team that went to the Finals recently lets a young, really really good 22/23 year old player go for whatever reason. And OKC hasn't made it back to the Finals, since.

Meanwhile, CP3 ain't getting any younger, so to be able to maintain a core of Booker-Ayton-Bridges for years to come should be incredibly high priority, especially when the MVP and defending champs are in your same conference. And your team just got beat by another 23 year old superstar.

You're gonna have to deal with established bigs like Brow, Jokic, Gobert, Towns, Zion, Sabonis. And then you have youngsters like Holmgren, Jabari, Wiseman, etc. If Sarver thinks any ol' tall dude can just walk in and take Ayton's place, PHX may not sniff another Finals appearance any time soon.

A Halliburton / Duarte / Mathurin / Ayton core is pretty damn good. Give that core 2-3 years (in addition to whatever veteran pieces they add) and they'll be strong contenders imo.

Sarver is a tilman level cheap and just happy to be there, trashbin owner. Imagine trying to sell your fanbase and players on being a contender when you let your starting center walk for nothing

I wonder what it means for Myles Turner if the trade goes through.

Suns should match. You dont know when the window is going to close, but you def close it by not matching. Sure you cant trade him for a year but you can down the line.

    Yep.

They might only have like a 15% chance to win a ring with that team but it goes down to 0 if they lose him for nothing. They may as well get as much as they can out of this CP3/Booker/Ayton trio as they can.

If the team does nothing they can trade Ayton on a 3 year deal for some assets and can definitely trade Booker for a ton of assets and go right into a strong rebuild.

It was closed when they lost against the bucks, Ayton is not worth the max and you will never win anything with a cp3/Booker/Ayton core matching this off is just delaying the cold hard truth.

Ayton may not be worth max in reality but in this state of the suns, they'll need to match in order to remain contenders with him as their big. Biyombo stinks and just ain't it if you expect him to be a full time starter

I mean if that's the case, they might as well just blow it up and re-tool around Booker.

Good for him. I personally hope we never pour that much into a center.

Tough luck cp3. U now have a disgruntled center paid maxed contract.
