Laker fan here. That was a terrible call. Shouldn't even have been a flagrant.

That said, refs were horrible tonight, an favored the rockets for most of the game.

Didn't make much of a difference for either team though.

In Game 1, Rockets outplayed Lakers.

    Tonight, the Rockets were outplayed.

That was my last nba I will ever watch. I love the rockets and clutch fans but NBA is the worse sport league in America. I hate everything about nba but I love the game of basketball. I will be sticking to nfl, college football and college basketball from now on. Good bye y'all! :D

The NBA feels like the WWF: it's not really competition, just a dramatic show. These calls not only screw the Rockets; they degrade the Lakers' victories.

so many words work better than degrade: provide, orchestrate, cement, ensure. It just removes that bothersome competition factor of basketball.

If that's true, the NBA office still SUCKS and they obviously can't see straight or have their own agenda.

It's really tiring to see games officiated this way. WWFNBA

That was just a normal foul after an attempt to block the shot. Flagrant 1 my arse!

Calls like these make me hate the NBA more and more. The lack of consistency is really getting to me. If you call that a flagrant 2, then kobe's stuff should also be dealt in the same way. And i know that we should not dwindle in the past, but sometimes it's simply too hard to ignore.

I was really suprised that Artest accepted it and jsut walked off the court in a quiet manner. I think any other person would've at least shown signs of disgust at that totally bogus of a call.

It's not fair to Artest, the Rockets or the fans. They should just kick him out of the league if they aren't going to treat him like everyone else. That would be preferable to kicking him out of playoff games in 2009 based on something he did in 2004.

What vujabitch did is much worst. Total BS... Still the Rockets stunk up the place. They deserved to lose.

It's a total new low in officiating.

Rondo's foul on Miller was not flagrant, it's a good play on the ball.

Artest's hard foul on Gasol was a flagrant 2 because he's Ron Artest.

    WTF!

Everyday, the league has different standards against different players and different teams.

how could the ref's **** it up to kick Ron out of 2 "playoff" games and then "fix" the call later, two games in a row? seriously?

Fixed I tell ya. Kobe vs Lebron $$$ cha-ching $$$

If they are going to hold Detroit over Ron's head for the rest of his career, they should just ban him for life. I understand why he has the reputation he has but when is it enough. Let the man play and call the game fair and square, too much to ask I guess.

i didn't see the play but from all the responses here i think it's safe to say that the nba has an agenda.. and it involves the fakers in the finals.. totally unacceptable officiating.. bullshiet!!
