I understand that not everything is always prepared for. That doesn't mean we shouldn't be upset about things that our soldiers need that they weren't supplied with.

No, I'm not sure. My aunt actually does purchasing for the Air Force, but I know no details about how it works. But I work in a major corporation that has has a purchasing department. Every manager has some level of purchasing authority. They can go out and purchase whatever they want up to a certain amount of money. They submit a report after the fact.

wtf. why are you even in this thread? why do you even post on this bbs when you obviously don't know everything inside and out about military procurement? why don't you just admit that the intervention in Iraq was wrong because that is really the point of every thread in the D&D? if you don't see that then maybe you need to...uh.....go post somewhere else.

What? And there are some people who do stupid things everyday. People take out their misguided anger on all sorts of people who actually deserve their respect. Cops, teachers, etc. So if someone is rude to a teacher, why doesn't anyone print that????

    This is politically motivated.

Whether or not the e-mail was sent by the owner of that business is irrelevant, he needs to send over a couple of mattresses -- no charge -- by express mail to that Sgt, and quick if he wants to save his company's image.

Otherwise, he won't be too pleased if a few pissed off residents get a hold of this article and burn his store/warehouse to the ground.

If you read the snopes article, you'd see (omitted from the Fox News article) that the owner has already been subject to ugly retribution. I guess the threadstarter felt it wasn't enough and wanted to stimulate some more dogpiling, until people started derailing the thread by discusssing the underlying subject matter. Thank god we had Hayesstreet to keep us in line and away from general arguing for the sake of arguing.
