So for everyone ripping on major league baseball, what's your opinion on the NFL?

Why isn't it a bigger deal when NFL players are linked with or busted for HGH or 'roids? Guys like Bill Romanowski, Julius Peppers, Shawn Merriman, Rodney Harrison, Todd Steussie, Todd Sauerbrun, Barret Robbins, Dana Stubblefield, Tim Couch...

Seriously, those are just the names I can come up with off the top of my head, I'm sure there are more. What's with the double standard?

isnt HGH an illegal substance in the states? like athletes would have to get a fake form prescribing it? wouldnt that be breaking the law? if thats the case, who cares if they were not banned before they took them? they broke the law to get them...should be punished

Well I guess if it's not banned but still illegal then yeah you should still be punished.

It just reminds of someone like Bagwell who was on Andro before it was banned.

Besides, it's not like that stuff helped him pitch better...I just hate, like has been said, the double standard thats apparent here.

wait..you didn't hear?? yeah, you must have missed it. only baseball players use performance-enhancing drugs. players in other sports all sing in church choirs and avoid any illegal substance.

in all seriousness...i said this about a year ago. the media freaks out on baseball players using this stuff because of the significance of individual stats in MLB. but since we know we don't have great ways to test for HGH, I'm just guessing it's pretty commonplace in all pro sports.

If this story was about Bonds using HGH people would be going nuts right now.

Babe Ruth was ****ing awesome. HANDS DOWN.

The guy was having sex with underage girls whenever he wasn't playing games coupled with more than a few prostitutes between games. In ADDITION, he got completely plastered before each game and STILL HIT 700+ hrs WHILE pitching for like 20 years before becoming a hitter.

Like the Babe said, "I saw 9 balls, but I only had to hit 1"

He will always be my hero.
