Good topic. I've had this song in my head for two days (and it's been a great two days):

The guitar kicks so much a--.

    [rquoter]
I am the son and the heir /
Of a shyness that is criminally vulgar /
I am the son and the heir /
    Of nothing in particular[/rquoter]

I can't get over how "son"/"heir" are homonyms with "sun" & "air": a lyric about his crippling timidity/weakness is at the same time a boast of his own immortality/power, and vice versa. Morrissey may have ended up a weirdo vegetarian racist, but god could he write.

The introduction of synthesizers, modern technology, to music. I can't last twenty minutes without looking into some sort of computer or phone screen; Gary Numan called all of this. Sure, there were electric guitars before, but the '80s were when music truly became more human than human.

That entire album was awesome, not one weak track.

You weren't lying. This is greatness.

Q: If you're Mick Jagger, and your apex was twenty years earlier, how do you stay relevant?
A: Tank up to the gills, and DANCE! DANCE! DANCE!

I especially like how they were big enough stars at the time that they could demand the entire video be shot in one take (witness Jagger getting a swig of beer/Diet Coke at 1:37).

Like Frank Sinatra in the Manchurian Candidate, only with blouses.

Not a video, but a classic song. I remember having four 15" woofers in my Mustang and jamming this on Westhiemer or Center Street!
