Whatever, I'd take Kenny Smith any day over AJ. I've never liked AJ, maybe it's because he used to go to his oponenets locker rooms before games and bless them. We don't need that.

What you're really trying to say, is that you don't like AJ because he looks like Bubba from Forrest Gump.

If you don't like the "blessings" then just look at it as "a moment of gratitude."

You wont see that until you tear your ACL during the game, or something like that.

Then, you'll think back and regret that you took things for granted.

AJ is firm, strict, and fair. And he's humble as well.

Kenny Smith understands the game, but he's too "wishy-washy." He's always being persuaded by Charles Barkley. If he does that with Charles, what would he do with unruly basketball "kids?"

Maybe in 10 or so years Kenny will become a good coach. But he needs to learn to stick to his convictions rather than "go with the crowd (Charles)." He'll need that if he's going to coach.

Most of the time he has good points on TNT, but he changes his mind when Charles gives him "that look."

That's when Kenny starts to stutter.:p

Ironically, it was Kenny Smith that helped Avery Johnson in the off-season with this jumpshot in 1997-98. And it was in 1999 that Avery used his newly learned shooting technique to help win the Spurs Championship.

I like how a guy who can't shoot, and can't play defense, only knowing how to pass because that's all he can do, gets labeled as having a 'high baskeball IQ', and 'knowing the game'. Suddenly because all he can do to be useful is pass to the open man, he's a great candidate to be a coach.

Man, let's get Moses Malone to teach Yao, because he was a great big man. Yeah, he must be a great coach. Never mind that we have one of the greatest undersized rebounders and defenders of all-time in Larry Smith already on staff. But Francis and Ming decided to choke when Rudy went down, so Smith must suck.

I am now convinced you are on the Rockets payroll.

You need to sit down and listen to Avery talk once in a while. He knows what he's talking about.

And yes! He can shoot, pass, hit his free-throws. I'm not saying he's an excellent shooter. Just competent.

You don't have to have to have "Jordanesq" skills to know how to play.

That's why most mid-level guys end up coaching, and the "greats" don't (or can't).
