I would do Paul George and draft picks for Scola instantly.

I like the idea of an Indiana trade for Hibbert and have no problem giving up Scola if their #1 was involved. I am just sick of Scola's total lack of interest on the defensive end (except flopping). plus I'd like to see P. Paterson get more time on the floor.

You can also put me down for a Kaman deal. I know he's injury-porne (he is even currently injuried) but he has 2 yrs left on a deal and when healthy is a above average center. I would have to get him for the right price but if say J. Hill and J. Jeffries expiring would get the deal done I think I would roll the dice on that one as well.

On M. Ellis, guy puts up big numbers.... but be cautious of someone putting up big numbers on Golden State - it doesn't always translate. You would have to like him more then K. Martin and have a deal in place to trade K. Martin. Unless you have no problem with your guards putting up 40-50 shots a game plus giving up about 40-50 points a night to the opposing teams guards. I really wish we knew what we had in T. Williams because he would seem to be a perfect backcourt mate for a player like Ellis. Ellis can play off the ball (more a SG role) while still being able to play defense on the PG while Williams plays the role of facilator and becasue of his size can play defense on the opposing SG.

I would be all over Lopez in NJ but I dont see him even remotely available - he wasn't for Anthony deal ...why would he be for us? I doubt Mcgee is really available either (more likely they trade Blatche). The other players you listed I consider unavailable or undesirable.

I think Kyle Korver would be a great fit for the Rockets. His has a quick release and I can see him coming off of screens or backdoor screens.

Rockets already have that player. Name is Budinger. Korver is horribly inconsistent and can't be relied on to produce.

HA - nothing like a pipedream trade thread. But I'll play along.

Teams likely looking to trade, either because of finance or rebuilding:

ORL (aggressive but somewhat hasty trading)
PHI (desperate to get out from under Brand's contract)
    IND (Ford)
MIL (would like to swap Redd's deal for a nice player or pick)
DET (have to lose Hamilton asap)
WAS (want to lose Hinrich and get serious help on the boards or at SF)
TOR (they'd want to sell their TE for a pick or player)
NJ (They'll want to get something for Troy Murphy)
CLE (they'd want to use their TE chip to either save a team money for a pick or buy someone slightly overpaid)
DEN (Melo rental, anybody else not on a rookie contract)
MEM (I'm certain they'd like to sell high on Randolph and avoid paying him this summer)
PHO (Nash possible...but he's their golden goose - unlikely)
POR (they may be forced to look into the future here)
GSW (I don't know if they really are looking to move anyone)
LAC (would love to lose B-Deadbeat, Kaman)
    SAC (Landry)
    MIN (Love's not going anywhere)
UTAH (will probably try and shop AK47 around)
Dal (always looking to make a move - shopping Butler's expiring)

I'm not going to pretend that these teams are going to fall over themselves to discard their most valued player(s) for Jared Jeffries just because we want them too.

The upsetting thing is, the market is FLOODED with teams trying to sell the same thing we are: cap relief in exchange for players. The bad news is, the available players (that you would want) are next to non-existent after Carmelo.

Ultimately, I don't see Morey making a move until Carmelo is gone. He may have contingency deals in place, but I'm hard pressed to see a willing team with something we'd like.

Still crossing my fingers - because watching this current team is breaking my spirit.
